I should have known better, as soon as I walked in the signs where all there...depressed employees, half of the cubicles where empty, the secretary, accountant, customer service rep, mail room clerk and underwriting department was all one person, who openly admits she took the job as pocket money. Neil the CEO, talks the talk but soon after 2 weeks of working there and no paychecks later you realize you are stuck. Here is how he screws you...you come in for the interview, he essentially hires everyone, he trains you for 3 days, then puts you on the out going calls. He provides a call list, and you call people all day long...most people are not interested, the ones who are cant be insured. When you finally find someone who might buy a policy you walk them through the application, send them to a medical exam and by that time 2 weeks have gone by. You realize you should have been paid something (a per agreement/contract) and when you ask for your check, they give a BS excuse. hen you get frustrated, you are ready to quit you realize if you quit you are walking away from potential commission so you try and stick it out, assuming maybe you will get paid. Never happens. Most people quit within 4 weeks of ending there training, a few stay assuming they will make big bucks, eventually everyone quits. He makes you work from 9AM to 7PM daily, some weekends and promises to pay $2000 per month as a base salary plus 15% commission on policies which close. I was stuck there for 4 months only to be paid $4000 plus 1 commission of $300. When I left, walked away from nearly $25,000 in potential commission but at least I kept my sanity. Do yourself a favor if you want to work in insurance, work for a much larger company and not a basement operation. I did not realize but after I left, and I sued him for my missing $, he was actually sued many times in the past for the same reasons not only this but the reason he cant sell certain types of insurance or certain company's insurance is because of policy violations and theft. My advice to you, if you decide to look into this company...run. If you do get sucked in, try it for a few weeks and you will see exactly what I am talking about. |

Dear Anonymous (User291784)!
I can understand your frustration and anger toward life due to constant failures and setbacks in your life. We at BeamaLife hires Super talent and motivate them to perform at their optimum capacity because our clients deserve nothing but the BEST service, EXPERT advice, and LOWEST PREMIUM life insurance policy. As an employer, we can make three mistakes – 1) hiring a wrong person for the job, 2) do not train new hire well and 3) do not develop new hire well. As you know BeamaLife is well known for our Knowledge and training – we are building “Goldman Sachs” of life insurance world. In fact, I remember you mentioned during your initial training in front other people in conference room that “you would have paid money for this kind of training & knowledge”. We also very particular about growing our human capital – I am sure you remember personal coaching, supply of books/audio books, regular industry update and news deliver to your email and in fact grooming you to assistant marketing manager’s position. So, clearly it looks like we have committed first mistake in your case and we feel sorry for it. I personally take responsibility of hiring you.
We are in business for more than 4 years and this is a first ever any dissatisfaction remark we came across. We have many employees and deal with thousands of clients/potential clients regularly. We do not have single clients complain so far. We are very selective and careful in hiring employee. We use very rigorous and physiological hiring methods that are being used by some of the finest organizations on the earth life GE, Google and Goldman Sachs. We are very proud of our people and do everything possible to make them happy, successful and obviously wealthy. I am willing to do “right” with you if you think and can prove that we have done anything wrong with you. We strongly believe in consumer and employee rights and always respect and promote them.
Unfortunately, you have made some totally false, not so intelligent and nasty personal allegations. We are growing very fast and busy helping our clients save thousands of dollars on their life insurance premium and income tax. I can go line by line and reply all your totally false allegations but any smart reader can gauge your intellectual capacity and understand your intentions when you contradict yourself - for example your mentioned about old leads/nobody want to buy life insurance but on the other hand you said you walked away in few months $25, 000 in commission!!!
I am respecting your privacy and not mentioning your name in my reply but would like to make few final corrections as follow:
1) You did not work for 4 months at BeamaLife, in fact we let you go after two months once we discovered that you have cheated your old partner, deposited some $70, 000 in your personal account, try to create competing website to BeamaLife and attempt to steal BeamaLife customer database while working with us.
2) You have mentioned that you sued us – if so, did you won? Because we do not remember being sued by anyone and certainly do not remember paying anyone $25, 000.
3) Our licenses with all insurance departments and regulatory bodies are active, current and up to date. We did not ever investigated, audited or any licenses suspended. We have “A” rating from BBB and enjoy tremendous confidence of our people, trust of our clients and respect of our business partners.
I sincerely want to wish you best luck for all your future endeavors and pray to God for your personal/business success.

I applied to the ad and was called in for an interview. Office has lots of empty cublicles i just assumed it was a new business but then he told me he was in business for 4 years. The ad claims - 6 figure salary but then he tells you its commission based when you come in.I just assumed this is how it is until as i was walking out and i meet this lady who works on the floor for another company she told me they have a high turn over rate and most people leave in weeks. She also mentioned a recent legal issue but dis not clearly explain.
I did not go back although he offered a job, i now work for a large insurance provider and am happy. He seems nice but i cant risk my career.
