I was looking at pickups on line. I have been to many Houston area dealer sites. Yesterday 01/05/11 I was looking at Baytown Fords site . I found a truck that interested me so I emailed them and was connected to Betsy via e-mail. I asked some questions and I answered some questions. To include was this truck available and if it was repaired from an accident or repo'ed. 1 question was answered it was available. I then scheduled a viewing of the truck on 01/06/11 around 5:30 pm. I showed up looked at the truck and noticed the price tag in the window it was higher than posted on the internet. I asked a salesman about it . His reply was not to worry about that. He proceeded to go into the building to get the key it took some time before he returned and we took a ride. After the ride we went inside when I then again asked about the price. they wanted to get started on paperwork when I told (name upon request) that I wanted to know the price they were asking for the truck. At that time I was informed that the price was $ 20,000.00 more than advertised. I asked if they were going to honor the internet price and I was told NO. I have a print out and all the e-mails to forward. it was odd that he was able to bring the truck up and it had a different price while I was there . false advertising and deception probably to lure potential buyers in. End result is I exited the building immediately and went home to the computer to bring up the site again and found it the same as I printed on 01/04/11. I have e-mailed the site again to see if they were going to honor the price and I have got no response!!! be aware folks
