Bank of America Conversion from FIA/Schwab card to BofA exposes consumers to fees El Paso, Texas
5th of Nov, 2011 by User415273
Bank of America has acquired Schwab credit cards and has been extensively publicizing the conversion for months. However, despite months of advance planning, Bank of America removed the ability of customers to monitor / pay online their ex -Schwab card from the old website, without providing alternative access CSRs are saying it could be 1-2 weeks, or perhaps more, they don;t know. before consumer access and control is restored This lengthy planned outage,. which should have and could have been avoided exposes consumers to over limit fees, late payment fees.and negative credit reporting The only way to find out a real time status is to talk to an agent, after a 20 minuter or longer hold time

I agree this is outrageous. I was told by a CSR that you won't be able to access until your new card arrives in a week or more. Then you have to register it on BofA's online website (not FIA).

It's a joke, all around.

Ultimately the joke is on them. Thousands of dollars each month is now being shunted through my Costco Amex instead. BofA won't get the merchant fees on even a pack of gum.
