ATI trade school Promised training I never received Garland, Texas |

I was promised an education in fire alarms, Burglar alarms, Access control, CCTV, Nurse call systems and a few other systems as well. Out of the systems we did work on the only one my teacher knew how to do was the CCTV system. All the other systems were not completed at all. The burglar alarms circuit board got fried the first day the first class was working on it and by the time it was our turn to work on it it did'nt work anymore. So we never got to work on it. The systems we did work on were'nt functional, we could not properly program the fire alarm systems, burglar alarm systems, and access control systems. We did not even have the proper materials to program the access control system. None of the systems were properly assembled. Most of our time was spent reading books in a classroom with our teacher advising us on systems he never worked on. They also told us most of our hands on training wouls come from the field. In the first job interview that i went to, they literally told me to go and get my money back. I was not properly trained on any of the systems we were promised and paid to be trained on. There are no words to express how deceived I feel. To change my life around to go to school, have as much money to pay back as I do, and sacrifices made in being promised something I did not recieve, I would b expected to at least have the knowledge to have a career which would enable me to support my family. Hence the purpose of going to school. |

I enrolled in ATI back in March at the Garland campus. However, the enviroment was so unsafe I decided to transfer to the other campus in Richardson, After transferring I was told that I would have a balance . The balance was not a big amount so I agreed to make the monthly payments . After 3 wks into my transfer I was called into the office . They explain to make they made a slight error . The amount went from $1000.00 to $3000.00. I was so upset, because the agreement was that I would not owe anything until I graduate from school. However, the man that told me that was no longer there. So, I dropped due to the fact it was wrong what ATI did . So, I just had enough, my first experience was a campus in Garland that was unsafe -- drug deals on campus, fights in the hallway, stealing, and bullying other students . I knew this was not the place for me. I hope that ATI gets what they deserve and will be closed . They have wronged so me people and cheated them out of money. I hope this never happens to anyone . ATI is a scam!!! |
