AT&T Mobility Wouldn't replace a phone that was warrantied multiple times in 4 months Internet |

I have been with AT&T for my cellphone service for almost 6 years. I have never had as many problems with their customer service as I have in the last 2 months. I bought the Samsung Infuse 4G in June 2011. Since I have bought the phone I replaced it in stores 2 times and then through the warranty department 3 times in 4 months. After 3 replacements a phone is supposed to be considered a lemon. I contacted AT&T and they didn't want to do anything to help me. On 2 seperate occasions, once by a store manager and once by a 611 customer service rep, I was told that if I was having that many problems then I should take my service elsewhere. I then contacted the Better Business Bureau, who forwarded my complaint to the President of AT&T. I spoke with Tene about the issues and she said she was willing to replace my phone with another model. They gave me 3 options and all 3 of the phones were downgrades from the phone I had bought 4 months prior. I told her that I would not accept any of the phones they offered because the phones were not compatible with the phone I already had. I asked about other options and they told me that there were no other phones in stock that they could offer me. That was like telling me that had I wanted to purchase a new phone, they wouldn't have that phone in stock to sell to me. They then reported back to the Better Business Bureau saying that I refused the phones and they now would not even try to replace it. The case is now closed with the BBB and I am still stuck with the same phone. I am only 4 months into a 2 year contract with a phone that only works when it wants to. AT&T is more worried about money than about their customers happiness. They couldn't even exchange a $99 phone for another $99 phone that was compatible. Instead they wanted to give a cheaper downgraded phone. All in all AT&T is a complete scam because they are not there to help you get good service with a good phone all they want is the money you pay them once a month even of you can't use the services because of a broken phone. |
