At&t DON'T GET U-VERSE!!! Internet, Internet

I moved to my new house in northern Chicago on August 1st. I called At&t to set up internet and a land line to my new place in early July. The rep said that they couldn't locate my specific unit on the map, despite the fact that I live in a multi-dweilling brownstone with 5 other condos that have At&T U-verse internet. Which is even more comical is that the seller of my place had At&t U-verse. It took 8 calls, each at a minimum of 45 minutes to only be lied to (one rep actually told me that she located my unit and that a rep would be out the next day to install). No rep showed, so I called at&t and they not only had no record of an appointment but said they still couldn't locate my unit. Finally I called a 9th time and after almost 2 hours of holding and speaking to a rep he then said "oh, here it is. They were just searching the wrong unit." My unit is 3North, which I told every rep, but they were searching for 3N!! Talk about incompetence. So after all of this (7 weeks waiting) the rep scheduled an install. THE SOONEST THEY COULD DO IT WAS EARLY OCTOBER, 6 WEEKS FROM THEN!! They didn't offer any discount for the time wasted and not one single representative was appologetic for all the time they wasted. So after all of that I cancelled the U-verse and got Vxxxxx internet. Vxxxxx overnighted me the equipment and we had wireless and phone the very nex day. This situation is apparently not out of the ordinary. I have talked to more then ten people that have had the same problem. AT&T IS THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH!!!!!
