We have two wireless accounts and had landline service with AT&T. We were pitched at an AT&T office in Aliso Viejo, California on U-verse and how they could save us $100.00 a month on our cable, phone and internet service over Cox service. We signed up for the 30 day home trial. Once our new equipment was in place, the problems began. We were promised HD channels by a person in the office but when connected it did not work. The service technician said it was not on the order. Our premium channels such as HBO also did not work. "Not on the order", the technician said. "It takes a couple of hours for those services to turn on", he said further. After two days, it still did not work. Next, came the phone service. We were talked into giving up our landline for the VOIP phone. Big mistake there too. The phone started making annoying beeping after a hang up. After a call to AT&T, they told us they were going to take away our phone number if we disconnected our cable. This is just plain wrong. The internet was ok but our email ceased to work. We could receive but could not send email. Luckily we did not terminate . Finally, in desperation and frustration, we asked to re hook us up. In the course of that, AT&T disconnected our wireless service. Several attempts to reach them by phone failed. I waited on hold for over an hour. Also, attempts to correct the problems were ignored. If they only would have helped us through the technical difficulties we would not be unhappy but once they have you, you are on your own. is no picnic either but at least they provide what they promise.
