Fraudsters. Can't deliver as promised. Will mislead you on the steps to take and then drop you on the basis that you didn't follow instructions. Even if there's nothing wrong with your rental, they make up issues and overwhelm the landlord - which does nothing. It's gruesome (you will get nasty letters from both sides) and will not prevent court action BY the landlord - who all have lawyers now because of scum like Ken Volk. Ken Volk will not refund your money when he FAILS - he'll just drum up some technicality deeply hidden in his third-of-an-inch thick contract of why you didn't follow instructions which releases him from any further "services". Once you pay him, you'll never hear from him again.. instead you'll be forced to speak to his assistant - who never knows what's going on and always insists that Ken is busy. Their "service" consists of form letters and a static list of hundreds of so-called "violations". You will be led to believe otherwise until money changes hands and you start to realize you've been had. Ken says he'll protect you in the event of retaliation. Nope. When you're paying countless fees for printing hundreds of pages, certified mailing fees, process server fees and carpet/maid service fees.. you realize that 85% of your rent doesn't come close to the damage Ken Volk does to your bank account through steps in his break lease program. Talk to your landlord FIRST, there are other options (such as finding a new tenant to take over your lease - and using the money you'd otherwise let Ken scam you out of... to give a little move-in incentive to the new tenant). Most landlords in this economy will be more than happy to take that 85% to release you from your lease! If you truly have a reason to terminate your lease, you don't need Ken Volk's tired and useless form letters. The courts are FAIR - quite contrary to what Ken's website scare tactics lead you to believe. |

I agree with everything you're saying except for the following. If you are having REAL health and safety violations, and the landlord has refused to repair, contact the REAL Arizona Tenants Association in Phoenix Sky Harbor Services at (602) 257-8987. They are legit. The other issue I disagree with you on is the Courts. Arizona is a landlord-friendly state, and has been for years. If you do have to go to Court, DON'T go without an attorney. The REAL Arizona Tenants Association can help you with that too! Sorry you had to deal with the fake, imitating Ken Volk. The fact that he works from a back room of his filthy home should have thrown a red flag! |

Ken Volk took me for my money in 2010. I actually paid for his service and he moved from University. Why isn't there a class act suit on this scumbag!!?? |

I love how the first person points at another company to do exactly what they do... Seems like someone just wants some business of their own. I broke my lease after my roommate skipped out on rent and stole all my belongings and I am a happy costumer. Courts are "landlord-friendly" as "Policing Landlords" said, which means they are not tenant-friendly obviously. And if you look up the website... it gives you their new address and phone number "TempeGal", if you want to contact them, why not do so? They're really friendly and I couldn't have asked for more down to Earth people help me get out of the horrible situation I was in. Yeah, I heard the legal document preparers are trying to sue him too, "Guest2", but they try ever couple of years and obviously his business is still going. If he was a scam, then why was he associated with a credit defamation attorney and process servers who work for him regularly? He provides you with a rock solid paper trail so if it does go to collections you can work with that Stockton guy and he we works on a contingency, probably because he knows he'll win. Not sure what all this complaining about, I could potentially make a lot of money if they file claims against me which sounds like a win win situation for me! |

He has a criminal record, he got involved in a lawsuit and lost to the tune of $200K, and he keeps getting put in jail cuz he don't pay his child support! Sure hope you aren't a parent trying to tell other people to go to him. If you look him up in the Maricopa County Court Records, there are a bunch of lawsuits involving him. There are other lawsuits in the Tempe city court. And if you look him up in the Board of Legal Document Preparers you will see he had his certification taken away because of numerous complaints. So Withlovedani I bet you are that woman that works for him even tho he fired your daughter?!? You're really someone to trust and you're sad. The Board of Doc preparers has NOT tried "ever couple of years" this is the first time they have really gone after him because of the numerous complaints over several years. He got kicked out of his office on University because he constantly pays his rent late and the landlord got tired of it and wanted to do something else with the office space beside wait for Ken to pay his bills. Why don't you check out how long anyone has ever worked for him? How about you check out his bankruptcy and see how many of his former attorneys he kicked to the curb in that bankruptcy? "he we works on a contingency" - so you ARE his current (for now) employee. So you're trying to get other people to lose more money? You "could potentially make a lot of money" IF you ever get paid by him! Good luck, sucker. Go to work for someone with a criminal record and see what happens. You get what u deserve. |

Sounds to me like people aren't following directions. ATA did a great job on my case in a very timely manner. Everything will go smoothly as long as you FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS correctly and carefully. |

I agree with the complaints, Ken and his affiliates as scum, theft by deception. He gets in trouble, then changes the names of his companies and hides behind these shields. He cannot keep his employees or staff, has many conflicts recently with anyone he works with which is why they quit or get fired. He is verbally and emotionally abusive of his employees. That was a huge red flag that no one can work with him, then I found out why. He basically practices law without a license despite all of his disclaimers. If he was really legit, he would not need the disclaimers or get defensive when approached about his ethics. There are alternatives with landlords if they are approached correctly. Ken is not a negotiator and has zero diplomacy skills. He will do more damage than help. Being a member of the BBB is easy if you pay enough money. He is as corrupt as the system he claims to work against. Don't waste your time or money. Bad landlords stink and there are plenty, but they hate Ken intensely and he makes the entire process much worse. You do not need his help to move out of an apartment. He has a ton of complaints against him as a certified document provider, which is what he really is and does not tell you. He runs a document preparation shop - thats all. He is a wanna be attorney- for some reason he isn't - maybe a criminal record has something to do with it? |
