United Reservation Service Trinity False and misleading offers, Internet |
1st of Feb, 2013 by User391798 |
An unsolicited post card with the Norwegian NCL logo was sent to me with an offer of free cruise and airfare. I called 1 888 655-4274 and was connected with Trinity booking. I was to this was not a high pressure sales offer like a time share, just a 90 minute presentation to introduce the travel club United reservation Service and that I would get the offers just for attending and my only cost would be taxes and surcharges not more than $200. I indicated I was not interested, the representative told me he could offer me an additional offer of 3 days at a Marriott or Hilton with 3 day free rental car and $100 free gas if I attended the Friday 2,1,2013 4PM presentation. Prior to the presentation you had to fill out a personal information sheet which was never used so I guess it was for future solicitations. There a power point presentation which eluded to United Reservation Service being in partnership with all the major companies in the travel industries, no documentation was every shown as support. The claim was that through the travel club, discount sales could be offered based on volume. The initial buy in of approximately $8895 would net you 4 reservations plus all unlimited club benefits. No documentation, visible material or contract was ever shown. After the presentation you had a one on one interview to tailor the club membership to your needs. I was offered 1 reservation with some club benefits for $2220 but not in a written document/contract nor a detail package of what I would be paying for. I declined and asked about the promotional offers. What I was given was not what I had been told and United Reservation Services will not give you the certificate unless you sign a waiver excluding them from liability for non compliance. On the backside of the offer certificate is a per person activation fee ranging between $25 to $49 depending on the offer. Also this fee has to be paid to a third party, Dynamic Premium Incentives at a post office box, there only contact information is gmail address. Don't waste your time, if you receive one of these post card throw it away. would be I was offered 1 reservation reservations plus unlimited access to all club benefits. There was no material documentation or contract provided
