Aragon Concrete and Design Lied, unreliable, destructive, rude, inconsiderate, arrogant, threatening Highlands Ranch, Colorado |

Hired this company to do a job. In the initial discussion, I was told the job would be done quickly (i.e. less than a week.) I was also quoted an amount that turned out costing hundreds of dollars more due to things the contractor didn't see needed to be done before he began. When these things were discovered, it appeared that I would be stuck with a mess if I didn't just pay him the extra money and allow him to finish it and I had put 1/2 of the amount down for materials, etc. So, I let him continue only to find out that the communication, or lack of cost me even more money in other areas and the job wound up taking several weeks - probably would have taken longer had I not stayed on top of it and allowed him to complete it when he was good and ready to complete it. In addition, when this contractor did do work on the property, I was not told what he did or what I could expect next, etc. As matter of fact, there was very little to no communication unless I called to ask questions. When I called to confirm certain things were going to happen, there were no calls back in many cases or I would get one days later, which almost resulted in the job not turning out correctly. Finally, when the concrete was ready to be poured, I got a phone call from the contractor telling me he had no money left from the 1/2 I put down and that I had to contact the concrete company and pay for the concrete. Now, this would not have been a problem had it been that I knew ahead of time this was the case and that I would have to take time out of my schedule to handle it. After the job was completed, some of the rest of my property was damaged and the job had an error that seemed to be an easy fix. When I mentioned this to the contractor, he said the job was done and demanded his money. He said after he was paid the balance due, he would fix the problems - who pays someone for a job and then trusts them to come back (I have never had a contractor act like this in the past.) I said I would pay him when the patio was fixed. He said he wanted the balance or would file a lien on the property. So, I felt I had no choice once again but to pay him the balance and hope he would fix the mistake. Still waiting to see if that happens, but I am not holding my breath. I didn't want to make this man angry, as he seemed to be the kind of person who would come back to my property and damage it out of spite or would harm my child or animals, etc. So, I felt I had no choice but to inform anyone who was considering this company to think about this experience and possibly choose someone else who would not be threatening, rude, inconsiderate, do a good job in the time frame quoted, and stick to the original dollar quote with no added expenses for things overlooked when quoting the job. |
