True Story, Crime of Persuasion How Dean (Film Guy) ripped me off BIG TIME. I was a friend of Den for a long time. I helped him build his business and did installs with him, etc. For anyone who wants to know this guy is a small time operator. His website makes him look big, but he works alone and has a couple of guys help him with installsas part time contracters. I wanted to open my own Tint shop. Dean suggested that I buy a franchise off of him, use his name APEX and pay him a 10% royalty. The problem was after giving Dean $50,000 dollars for the name APEX and some rolls of film plus a lame plotter, I come to find out that the film was supposed to be Bekaert Panorama film and instead it was cheap Chinese film, the codes were written on the plastic white core and inside the roll plain for anyone to see but Dean. I called Dean and he said he was sorry but he was having cash flow problems. So he substituted the film from a company called Top Color in Taiwan. Dean said he would warranty the film himself. How can Dean warranty the film if he is cash strapped? What happen to my $50,000 dollars? Dean used the money to pay off credit cards and some other debts. I said to Dean this is not what we agreed upon and he didn’t care. Because I worked with Dean for several years here is a shocker for many of you. So you think you have 12 mil on your windows eh, look again, most of the film is 4 mil. Dean used to laugh cause he said that customers never check and how would they know the difference. Also, all of you who bought Bekaert I would say at least 50% of that is not true. Dean would buy film as cheap as he could get it for and call it Bekaert. So in the final analysts Dean is a Con Man, yep a thief. He makes his money ripping people off and cheating his friends, suppliers and the public at large. The OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) are investigating him for business fraud and the Ontario Government has opened a file on him for ‘questionable’ business practices. The RCMP ‘O’ Division are investigating Dean for money laundering, and most recently CRA are looking into his business between Canada and the US and a company called BFGG Investor Group. Dean himself has stiffed lots of people and holds himself out to be some kind of ‘authority’ on window film. He is no expert and if you look at his web site he now offers anything and everything to keep in business. Sh’t he’ll even sell you a kitchen sink! Look into Dean’s past he’s a no body, no formal education, no business degree’s or window film degree’s, or industry education. He was never employed in the glass or plastics industry has no engineers on staff, or professionals. Dean is a one man show and he rips people off all the time. Dean is a confidence man, smooth talker, and is able to twist things around. The truth will come out and he will pay. BEWARE of this guy, stay away from APEX Window Film. He is a cheat, a liar, and not to be trusted. His company is a fraud, a scam operation. Switch and Bait operation. Oh ya, you will get film on your glass, but it won’t be what you paid for. Call the OPP if you have been Ripped Off by this com man :

And this is where Dean gets most of his film from; call them directly and save the money. Dean only makes it up by 500% Top Colour Film Ltd.
