Scam Business, Andy Norris Painting, Inc. Bad Business Practices, Do Not Contract With This Business In Dade City, Florida Asking for cash before starting a painting job. Wanting me to pay half or all in cash. I called this company to get someone to stop out and look over my business about painting. A lady by the name of Cherry took my call. Took my information, and said Her Husband Andy would come out, take a look and then give me a price. He came out, looked around, took my business information, and noted about what I wanted done. I then asked him for other business he delt with in the area that he worked on. I wrote them down, he boasted how he does a great job, can save me money, and how they were a Christian Business. When I heard that, I said oh no, here we go. He gave me a price, and then wanted 50% down to start. That ment giving him $2500 made out to him, not the business name. I told him I would wait and study on this. Also I would check out the names he gave me. I called the county about him, his wife and this business. They stated to me they are a business that is run out of a home, on a farm. They have no painting crew that comes out, but could hire working hands to help. I asked if they will permits for the job, or would I. They also told me this company has never pulled a permit for any job they have know about. I did finally get hold of a business he painted. They told me he was the only person that came out to paint. Gave them a story about the crew was working somewhere else, finishing a job. And that he could do this job all by himself. He did paint, took him twice as long to do the job as he told me. And after he left, I looked over the job, it was average. Not done very well. After looking into this company deeper, I did find out they have no insurance, no workers man's comp insurance, no bond in place that anyone could find. If this guy should come out and paint, he falls or gets injured on your property, your going to get sued. After I found all this information out, I called him, questioned him, he told me his wife Cherry handles all that, and not to worry they are a Christian Company. I told him I didn't want his service. He then told me he could give me a discount if I paid in full up front by cash. I told him Hell No! I would not do business with Andy Norris painting, Inc. Sound like a ripoff company, or even a scam by asking for cash to start a painting job. I was careful, you should be also. I didn't get scammed or ripped off by them. I also made alot of calls asking about this company, not to many people had nice things to say about them or their company. Many people didn't trust them.
