About 1 week ago, my husband and I were approached by an italian guy Andrea Ermanni with bags filled with leather coats. He told my husband that he was headed to the airport and received the jackets as bonus for a job he just finished in Manhattan. He said, that he went to the casino and spent too much and needed money to make up and pay his rent for the place he was renting while working here in NY. I thought his story was a bit fishy and asked the cost for the jackets. He said, no their gifts, he just needs $600 to make up the rent. I told him I wasn't interested but my husband insisted that they looked good and we should get them. He gave us his business card and promised to make pasta for us the next time he was in town. We gave him $580 and he asked for $30 more to help with toll. I gave him an $20 more. He seemed very nice and even showed pictures of his kids. I googled the jackets and camera after he left and realized that we were scammed. I looked on facebook and found his picture and befriended him. He accepted the invitation. I hope it helps to track him down. |

Hey there,
I got a good laugh at my self when reading your story about AE jackets.
A couple a days ago feb 23rd 2012, when i was going to the casino in Sundsvall, Sweden a guy drove up with his car next to me. He asked me if I could help him to sort out an acute economical problem. He said he had just left the casino where he had spent all money he had had. More than 1200 Euro he said. Now he was going to the airport and was to pay the rental for the car before leaving by air. He even show me the car rental bill. But he had as said no money left - but - I could help him if i accepted a gift in form of a brand new jacket! The only thing I had to to was to buy the rest of his collection for, i think, skr 3000:- (ab 250 Euro). I said that i was not interested and that i had no money like that to spend, but he was very insistent and talkative and after seeing his "collection rest" of two good looking jackets i finally accepted to buy them, but i gave him only skr 1000:- (ab Euro 90:-). He looked a bit surprised about the small amount but I declared I could´nt afford more and he gave me the jackets and drove away. I guess he was from Spain but it could as well be an italian fellow. Well dressed and good looking. Really, I can´t say I regret this business because I had probably spent that amount in the casino anyway and the two jackets are certainly worth at least what i paid for them and I will no doubt use them. Ok! Now it´s fully clear i run into a clever deceiver her in the dark, snowy scandinavia
