I was contacted by an Indian Woman that was telling me my computer was full of viruses and i needed to visit there website and download there program...Program grants them unlimited access to your computer...they will then tell you and show you that you have about 1000 viruses on your computer at that time they offer to remove all of the false viruses from your computer for a nominal fee or offer to let you download an ILLEGAL copy of Windows 7 for a much smaller fee they dont say its illegal though if you then tell them that you cant afford it or dont want it they get angry and have been reported to swear and yell at the people on other end of the phone then put on someone that is supposed there supervisor then apologize for there coworkers action then try to resell you what you just turned down...In closing if you receive a phone call asking you to go to WWW.AMMYY.COM it is a scam.They try and target elderly people and less computer savvy people who in turn fall for there scam. If you ever encounter these people just HANG UP the phone

Ammyy rang me, went through process, told me computer had virus.Tried to sell me anti virus package, when I refused to buy, I was sworn at.I hung up.I was then phoned again by another Indian man sayin saying he was Windows service dept., and he wanted to help clear my P C.I hung up.They rang back and left a contact number on my voicemail.I did not ring back as by then I realised it was'nt genuine.

See how long you can keep them talking. I hold the record amongst my acquaintances with a 58 minute record: try and sound computer illiterate (and generally dumb) and they will take the bait. Consider it community service because while they are wasting their time with you they can't be preying on some poor mug out there. I've had one guy ring back three timmes and hang on ... and on ... while I go look for my credit card!! This guy didn't even catch on when I spelt out my surname for him "Getstuffed", it was even funnier listening to him trying to pronounce it.
