Complaint Description: I tried an eMatrix treatment one time and it severly burned my face. I am trying to get a $3400 obligation canceled by ALS. They are refusing. A representative of ALS called me on 7/20 telling me I had "won" a $300 certificate off of services and asked which clinic I would like to attend. AND, better yet, if I attend within 48 hours, I'll receive an additional $100 off any service I choose. I selected Raleigh. On Friday 7/22 I went and talked to the clinic manager about their services. I selected eMatrix, listed at $3500. But with the $400 off, it came to $3100. But then I also received a "free" service for which I selected laser hair removal. The upper lip was free, the chin was half off at $300. So now my "obligation" came to $3400. At that visit, Julie had me signing 2 informed consents (several pages each) and 2 sets of pre/post instructions also, of which I did receive copies. But whatever I signed obligating me to pay $190 a month x 18 months I did not receive a copy of. After my first Matrix treatment on 7/25, my face ended up being severly burned which last over a week. In fact, the burn areas are still visible on my face. I informed Julie I did want any more eMatrix treatements due to the severe reaction. She informed me "Since we have started treatments, we do not do refunds, but we can do two different things. We can do more of ematrix treatments at a very low setting or I can change it out for any other procedure that you would like. We have a lot of amazing services we offer with no downtime. If you would like, I can set up a time to go over and explain the other services we offer. Just let me know what you would like to do." But I paid to have the eMatrix done, and If I cannot tolerate the procedure, I think they should cancel the $3100 obligation. I found another customer who had a smilar experience.
