I am writing to voice my overall complete dissatisfaction with American Home Pro. I have had nothing but a terrible experience with this company since I signed a repair contract. Before I explain my level of dissatisfaction, I feel like it is appropriate to comment on the actual work. When referring to the work, I feel like it was completed well. The crews seemed professional and most of my arguments are not with them. That said these are the largest issues I have with the company: * The stated promise that the company would repair and replace our roof within two to three weeks of signing the contract. In fact, it took closer to six weeks. If we had been told the work would actually be done around six weeks later, we may have researched other roofing companies and looked for other quotes. *On multiple occasions, we were told the company would be out on a particular day to complete the work. Repeatedly, those dates passed and the work was still not complete. *Nails and debris in the driveway after the company had cleaned up and left. We drive on this driveway everyday and we have small children running around playing. Shouldn’t we be concerned about driving on that debris? What if one of the kids fell on some of the nails? I cannot even begin to count how many nails and pieces of shingles we picked up from our driveway, our backyard, front yard and neighbors side yard. Any clean up this company attempted was extremely sloppy and inadequate. After needing to call the company on several occasions and complain before they completed the contract, I hate to imagine how difficult it would be to seek any reimbursement for a flat tire or injuries caused from a nail or debris that was so carelessly left behind. *Garbage cans left behind after the company had left. There was also a large grease spot on the driveway that was not there before this project. This company really stressed what a great job the crews did at cleaning up after a job. The salesman even explained how there is a cleaning crew out that constantly picks up as the work is done. That was not my experience. What a disappointment because the proposed clean up was another major selling point for us. I think we should be given a partial refund for the project. Why should we have to pay the full amount when this company has failed to live up to its promises and contract? I would not have any objection to paying for the work, if it was up to the standards they so confidently boasted about. But I feel like American Home Pro has not met the standards they required us to meet by paying the full amount, and we should be compensated fairly. In closing, I am completely dissatisfied with this company, the unprofessional way it seems to handle its business and the poor service I received. |
