| I have come across many individuals who have similar stories about American educational services and its loan sharking and unethical collection tactics. I will not recount my experience because it is a carbon copy of what other people have been saying about AES for years. I'm done talking, this is 2011 I think it is time that we slammed a class action lawsuit against this company. Their harassment and collection tactics are due for punishment by the law.Please let me know if you are interested. I have found a really good website where we can initiate the law suit. | I have a single loan from this company and a while back I had to reduce my monthly payment due to not being able to afford their charge. My payments are now going towards the interest only, not the principle. I am able to pay more than the minimum, but its still not really going down! [email protected] |

Sign me up! I took out a loan for $10k, making total due back around $12k. I got a letter a couple of months ago saying that their interest rates have went up and now my repayment amount is $18k!!! This is wrong, should be illegal, and has to be a scam! Last month I sent in my payment (which is ALWAYS over the minimum amount due which is always $0) of $150..$118.66 went toward my principle and $31.34 for interest. If this keeps on happening, it will take me 87 years to pay these sharks back!! I WANT to pay for my education, but, this is ridiculous! My monthly instalment amount is around $86 and I even did a transfer of $1800 to a 0% APR credit card to try to lower my interest payments and put a dent in the ridiculous amount they want me to pay back (pretty much double) and of course they only applied around $1600 to the principle and the rest to the interest.

| I'm in. AES dunned my credit because I filled out the wrong forebearance form. Once I filled out the right form I owed them no money, but by that time they had reported me to Equifax. When I asked them to reverse the negative report, since, in reality, no money was ever due, they refused saying that they weren't responsible for my mistake. Contact me at [email protected] |

| I am in the same "nightmare" as many others. I just want a low interest plan to repay the loans, but AES only seems content to get other collection companies involved so that I'm making 3 small payments, and I don't know if any of the money is doing any good. Do you have any recent information? |
