I owed money to Penn Foster. They send my account to ACC. ACC contacted me in July 5, 2010. I spoke with Louis Orama. We came to an agreement to settle for the amount of $277.20. Per our conversation and emailed that follow soon after it was understood that the payment of $277.20 was my final payment and that it would pay off my balance that it was owed to their client which was Penn Foster.

They withdrew the money from my account on July 30, 2010, and I have proof. Now I get a letter from a new debt collector stating that they are trying to collecta debt from Penn Foster I tell them that the debt has been paid off since July of 2010.

I called ACC to clarify what is going on. I get a supervisor by the name of Douglas Luiza the first thing he told me was are you deaf, do you need a hearing aid. I was shocked and I asked, " is the way you talk to people?" and he replied we are not a McDonald's we are a debt collector. I explained the situation and he wouldnt let me speak. Then he came to aske me if I needed a spanish translator. I asked what make you think I speak spanish, he replied by your dialect and he disconnected the conversation.

I made the payment and I have proof with bank statement the email stating that the payment would be my pay off amount.
