The parent of the child is a well establised professional in Real Estate field and not a recently divorced mother. She had all the receipts showing the 5k tuition that was paid to this company for the 6 months program. She was just asking for the refund of the tuition in Small Claims court. SinceEleanor, the ownerdecided to terminate her daughterafter being asked for the receipt of 5k and the 1098 formbefore end of the year.Her daughter have lots of friends in American Advanced Academy and not a violent personas mentioned on this rebuttal. Unfortunately, the parent of the child was unprepared with her documents and lost the case. Her daughter is never beena problematic child, she may not be a student with great grades. But she is now a full-time student in college with a part-time job, was hired on a 1st interview at this kind of economy by a well known company.
Eleanor Chan isthe greedy owner of this company hiring illegal alien employees to save on the payroll, scam artist proclaimingherself as a Harvard graduate and Hillsborough homeowner. She was an evictedtenantdue tonon payment of rent by her Hillsborough landlord as showed on San Mateo Court records.
She is so desperate to keep the hard earned money of this consumer lying on every detail of this case in court and on this website.

STATEMENT OF TRUTH
This is an insolated incident.
These statements re: American Advanced Academy & their owners are False and Unsubstantiated. This is an isolated incident – one family in 10 years of “Excellence In Education, ” and named Best Camp & Private School in 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011.”
The author has malicious intent and inviting a defamation lawsuit. She is a desperate real estate agent, recently divorced for the 3rd time, and the mother of a problematic teenager who was suspended from her own school for violence, undisclosed to us at the time of admissions.
She attended the Academy way back in 2006 and was also suspended for violating school rules multiple times. Since then, she has been harassing the owners of the Academy with phone threats, frivolous lawsuits that she lost 3 times in a row, nasty emails, and other destructive actions. In addition, she has made false accusations to the IRS, Fire Department, Sheriff Office and other authorities but resulted in a clean slate for the Academy.
The author’s complaint is full of lies, false statements and inaccuracies. The truth lies as follows:
At this juncture, I would like to take this opportunity to supply you with some background as to why and how this complaint has come about.
1. The Plaintiff is the mother of Lea Alim, who was one of our students. She registered with our school on or about November 2006. Undisclosed to the Academy at the time of enrollment, the Plaintiff’s daughter, Lea Alim had previously been suspended by her own school, confirmed by the Plaintiff in Court, sworn under oath on December 6, 2007. The Plaintiff before enrolling her daughter Lea to our school, read and signed the Student Registration Form, which clearly stated our “No Refund Policy, ” which was produced in court: the Student Registration Form dated 11/27/2006 signed by the Plaintiff, marked Exhibit AAA 3. Furthermore, the “No Refund Policy, ” is stated clearly in the Cost & Payment Schedule 2006-2007, marked as Exhibit AAA 4 and in the ViewBook Registration Information Sheet, marked as Exhibit AAA 5. The plaintiff is bound by such policy.
2. The author’s daughter was suspended from our Academy for 1 week because she posted a safety threat to other students at the Academy. She said she would beat them up just like the way she beat up her other student in her regular school. (She was suspended for the same cause. They didn’t disclose the incident to us until she had to disclose it in court later – and only when asked by the Presiding Judge – Case No.: SCC # 105455)
3. Since we are an institute of higher learning, we could not accommodate a child that has disruptive behavior and poses a safety threat to other students in an atmosphere of learning. Therefore, on or around March 2007, the plaintiff’s child Lea, a problematic high schooler, was asked to not return after a short period of suspension because of her inappropriate behavior, suspected drug possession and threat of violence to other students at the Academy. The Plaintiff had been fully satisfied with the performance of our school until the Plaintiff child was asked to leave our educational facilities on or around March 2007.
4. We had offered her a settlement closed to the full amount. She didn’t want to settle but want double the money that she paid and went to court instead.
5. She lost her court case and tried to appeal
6. She lost her appeal and used different reasons and tries to sue again – Case No. : SCC #105779
7. She lost again Therefore, the Plaintiff was irate and, I believe, started her series of bogus allegations to the Social Services, Better Business Bureau, IRS, San Mateo Fire Department, and anyone that she can get hold of. The allegations all proved to be all false.
8. In addition, the plaintiff made numerous threats by phone and by e-mail, where the plaintiff swore that she will go after the defendants and that “this is the just beginning…” She further warned the Defendants to, “Watch out, you scum bag!” These were her exact words when she made her frequent and most recent phone threats, twice on Tuesday, Dec 11 around 2:30 PM & 2:32 PM, which is right after the Court Ruling on the same Case # SCC 105455.
9. She complained to the Fire Department that we had 50 to 60 kids packed in a dark room with no heat and light. The San Mateo Fire Department came out a few times and found all room are well ventilate, bright with good heating & cooling system.
10. Now, she went amok on the internet…
If you read carefully what she is saying – it has nothing to do with the quality of the program. She is hitting below the belt -- and making false accusations with absolutely no substantiation.
This is definitively, a personal vendetta, misusing public interest for her own selfish unwarranted and unsubstantiated time-wasting battles.

1. CREATING MEANINGFUL JOBS
Provide employment for a group of dedicate directors, instructors, managers and other professionals who want to “Make a Difference in Education & Life”.
2. MARINE TRAINING PROGRAM
Since beginning 2007, we have provided teaching and workshop for some church member to get ready for the Marine Entrance Exam. Classes are schedule from 9am to 12 noon on Mon, Wed and Thur. We have not charged church member any fee to participate this training program
3. NO KIDS FALL BEHIND
AAA has help the San Mateo County students improved their STAR scores and with their home work. We provide a learning environment for kids to do their homework and move ahead in their study. Homework Center is open from end of school day to 5:30 pm. The Homework Center is staffed with members of the Faculty to provide appropriate and motivational coaching, advise and general help.
4. TEENS COUNSELING
The professional staff at AAA provides teens counseling to those who need them. They often serve as a big bother or sister to help teens resolve issues that bothers children at that age. AAA provides a nurturing environment for teens to be comfortable to discuss sensitive topics. AAA also provides a “Home Away From Home” for children during break up of families due to divorces, death and other causes. The Center provides stability and unconditional love – God’s Love to the needy.
5. OUTREACH – “SOWING THE SEED”
Christmas, Easter and other special occasions, AAA has outreach programs through the school to invite non-believers to our special functions. Gospel and Christian testimony will be part of our program to reach out for new believers.
6. FIRST AID TRAINING
Each summer, AAA invests personal time to provides First Aid Training through State Certified Trainers for the local community. AAA arranges and hosts these events to better educate the community of the importance of providing competence life-saving aids to those that needs them. After successful completion of these State-Officiated First Aid classes and training, participant will be first-aid trained and ready to service the community at large.
7. FIRE SAFETY & CHILDREN PROTECTIVE SERVICES
For the safety of the kids, we provide regular safety education/drills in collaboration with the local Fire Department and the Police Department. In addition, the Academy has provided transportation for students who need rides home from their school, especially for those have missed their ride home. This way, kids are escorted home safely. |

Corrupt Mind + Bad Diet Pill = HALLUCINATIONS
No offense, but your rebuttal isn't exactly endearing from a consumer standpoint. Why would a person want to enroll their kid in a school run by someone that's going to do their best to sound as too good to be true. A World Class School will never try this hard to advertise and steal money by enforcing a self serving "No Refund" Policy.

LIES after LIES after LIES, are you that desperate ? Be afraid of Karma, that stolen money from a hard working mother and landlord may turn into toxic in your body !!! Eleanor Chan aka Eleanor Yu and Kenneth Chan, both of you guys will be remembered as greedy individuals and classless educators who do not deserve any sympathy or respect from any kid like Lea.
It's not worth to risk your money, time and effort with this company. All these owners care about is their inspiration and devotion to reach the full $$$$ potential at any costs, nothing else. There's a lot of well establised schools out there managed by caring professionals with verified credentials by regulated Corporations and not by $weet talking "Mom and Pop" . It doesn't have to be an expensive and painful lesson for us to learn as this mother and child had experienced with these crooks ! Let's use our best judgement, it's important that WE SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH THE RIGHT HEART AND MIND IN EDUCATING OUR CHILDREN FOR THE FUTURE !! |

As a mother of 3 children that attended American Advaced Academy for 6 years, I can testify that Dr. Chan & Dr. Yu are good people who has helped our 3 children academically and inspired them to become good people. Dr. Chan & Dr. Yu is well respected by all Students & Parents.
My daughers were at the Academy when Lea A;lim was there at the same time. Her mother is the author of these nasty & false reports. Her daughter was a troublsome teenager. She was suspended from school for violence & drugs. Her mother is Michelle Artap of Empire Capital Mortgage who was sued for fraud multiple times & now operates under a different name - US Property Works. Her statements are false & full of malice. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THESE STATEMENTS.
We are saden by all these false report from one single person who has such a revengful nature. It's time to let go especially when your daughter is at fault.

Empire Capital dba US Property Works do not practice infamous "no refund policy" as Aristotle Academy dba World Learning Center, etc. You're probably got confused with your track record on stocks. Unfortunately, you did not succeed with those multiple charges with Department of Real Estate. How low can you go? Are you on drugs again?
