Allstate Motor Club Billing system screwed up twice! Internet |

Last year I purchased insurance with Allstate. Right away my information was shared with Allstate Motor Club which they claim is separate and unaffiliated with Allstate Insurance. I purchased the platinum elilte and they debited my account on the spot. Each month they were supposed to draft out a certain membership fee but did not. Two months later they decided to draft out two months worth and that happened to be BEFORE my money posted to my account leaving me with an overdraft fee at the bank. Allstate Motor Club told me they were wrong, someone screwed up, forgot to do something in the billing department correctly so they offered me a discount of 25%. This mean around $8 per month was all it cost so I thought well everyone makes mistakes I will give it another try. This year they failed to debit my account each month and sent me a letter two months later saying they had cancelled the coverage on April 1st due to trouble processing the account. I received this letter on May 25th so for two months I drove thinking I had roadside assistance when in actuality I had nothing and no clue what was going on. So I call them up and them that no one else has any difficulty at all processing this card, only your company. I made them read my information back to me and so they had it in correctly. I told them that I was dissatisfied with their service and late notice. I called my bank and had a 3 way with Allstate and my bank so the money was verfied as THERE so then all they had to do was process it correctly WHEN they say they are going to. Furthermore IF there is ever any problem receiving payment they could have contacted me within a reasonable amount of time or called and/or emailed me. They made no attempt to do anything until AFTER they made their decision. Allstate apologized and wanted me to return to them stating they would take a certain percentage off the regular price which was even a higher rate than I was paying before after their last mess up. I told them no thank you. They started right away trying to give me their sales pitch. I said no. Since that time I have been bombarded with phone calls and special offer letters from Allstate. They just won't take no for an answer. Their billing department payment processing center is the pits. |
