Ms Jones was placed in one of my properties as a tenant in the month of June 2010. During the first month of her move in, Ms Jones opened my mail from my mortgage company and phoned my management company and complained that my home was in foreclosure (which it was not. I got mail because I tried to get a loan modification prior and have failed). My management company then calls me to verify the claims and started asking for proof that my ho,e wasn't in foreclosure. During that same month, Ms Jones started calling the management company to make repairs to the air condition unit which was replaced on the first call. On another occassion, Ms. Jones called the management company yet again where the same repair company came out and charged me once more. By the month of July, Ms Jones paid short rent and the management company accepted without my knowledge. By August, Ms. Jones stopped paying rent and my horror started. Ms. Jones stayed in my home until the court evicted her out at the end of October 2010. My management company claimed they did a thorough background check yet, I ended up with a professional renter. Ms. Jones owes me $3150 in rent plus $130 in water bill. Ms. Jones took off in the middle of the night like the roach she is but not without trashing my house and leaving me with a high repair bill. The deposit money isn't enough to cover the damages to my home and the fees for the eviction process. Now I am stuck with a repair bill as well as no deposit money because my ex management company is now trying to take what's left of it.
