I was sold the Advertiser 360 program by the Vangard Institute. It was a hard sell and the pitch was misleading and deceptive, they represented themselves as an educator and that the program was accredited. First off, the actual Advertiser 360 program is not bad, poor quality and presentation, looks like they put the whole thing together in a day or two from a computer and Powerpoint but there is what seems like some good info. PROBLEMS!!! Aside from the mis-representation from the very beginning, as soon as you agree to purchase the program, they slam with you with their coaching program, something you need to "guarantee your success" only a few $K more. So you sign up for the coaching too. Then you get a hard sell phone call from someone from Advertiser 360 telling you that you have to buy an LLC or corporation from them in order to be doing business legally. Not true, I called my attorney who said that they were out and out lying, you can run any business in the U.S. as an individual. If you do fall for their lie it will cost you about $3K or more. Then someone from Advertiser 360 calls and tells you that you have to buy their tax program, a mere $3K and a monthly fee in order to be in compliance with the IRS and to avoid possibly going to jail. That's right, they literally make you think that you could go to jail if you don't buy their tax keeping program. Another call to the attorney who is now mad that these people are such blatant liars. You guessed, not true. you can do your own taxes or even hire someone locally for probably a lot less than the $3K they are asking from you. So if you buy into all of these hard sell lies you're at $10K or more now. So you have everything you need to get started? Not quite. Next I got a call from Doba the so called "Advertiser 360 Preferred Drop Shipper". Only $3K for the year with my special discount for the program from them that I need to do the Advertiser 360 educational program that I'd been regretting I'd ever gotten involved with. All done now? Maybe, I'm pretty sure they are going to call me for something else here eventually but without the phone call upsell, I find out that I've been automatically enrolled in the "Offerbuilder 360" program" to build and host my site, apparently a template style program that I received a 30 day free trial for that no one pointed out and that really did me no good because even if I had known about it, I am just starting out and had not yet gotten to building a site. Cost for this, only $39.95 a month. Mind you, the other hosting services I'd already checked out which also had web site building programs and templates were about $5.95 a month and less. Try to get a refund for any of this and forget it, they don't bother to email or call back and when you do finally get a hold of them they cite all of these reasons why they don't and won't give you a refund. All of this un-ethical lying and upselling has put me off and against this whole company and their practices. My advice, DO NOT buy or deal with these people. |
