We tried to purchase an iphone through Advance Communications UK Ltd. through Mr Engr Schwarz Powell, which we found on the internet. He emailed us, which appeared to be an official website and address and advised us to send 50% deposit through western money transfer and that the balance woudl be due on delivery of the goods. We arranged this and a few days later, he sent another email saying that he accidently shipped 2 and that we would have to pay for both items, for which he would credit us back. It sounded strange, but he kept assuring us that we had nothing to worry about and that his company had to ensure that they were receiving payment for the phones. We dis-agreed and then claimed that he had stopped the shipment of the product in Dubai and until he received the payment, he would not release it. Reluctantly, we arranged the transfer of the remaining amount and we never heard from him again. He gave us a FedEx shipping number, which we later found out was fraudulent. We tried to report it an a scam, but there hasn;t been any progression. We lost Australian $1000 as a result.

Engr Schwarz Powell advertisies on Qatar Living, Ilove Qatar and similar classifieds websites where expats are trying to settle into a new country. Be wary of him and his company. Its unfortunate that someone like this is allowed to advertise on these sites - but do be aware and don't purchase any items from him. Honest people are being ripped off and he is stealing money from innocent people.
