Accountnow accountnow prepaid Takes your direct deposit and sends it back to your employer then lies to you. Internet |

I recently signed up for an Accountnow gold visa card. Two weeks prior to getting paid, i set up direct deposit through my employer. i am a dispatcher for Mcdonald County Missouri. I activated the account but not the card which has never been a problem before. My payday was on 8/18/2011 which is when my deposit was set for. Midday that friday my check had not posted and i let my accounting manager know. She got on the phone with accountnow's bank and verified that they had recieved the funds which they had and provided a tracking number. my director said to keep watching and calling and they would try to figure out what was wrong. the end of friday came and between four calls and lots of hold time later...no money and I was told that the deposit would be funded at midnight and update the next day (Saturday) No money when i went to work on Saturday. tried throughout the day calling them, one call I was told that it would be funded today. the next call was that my check was rejected. and the lies continued in that order. i told them that i wanted something in writing faxed to me. They said that they are not allowed to fax anything but everything is documented. I asked again and got the same answer, the only time they have told me the truth twice. So now i am left with no paycheck until monday and a lot more stress then I needed. Now my paycheck is out in limbo somewhere because they say they sent it back to my employer. The last answer I got was that it was bounced back to my employer because i didnt verify who i was prior to activating my card and didnt pass there little identification test. Correct me if I am wrong but arent you supposed to verify who you are before you can get the card?? thank you accountnow and your crappy service for screwing over another person. I will post an update to this on monday one way or another on what happens. my director is going to be calling accountnow on monday. Also if any lawyers are reading this please contact me, I am curious whether this is grounds for a lawsuit or not. |
