Researched Accent Movers - saw their negative reviews on here but gave them 2 chances anyway! 1st move - They were late and waited in the lobby of my building for quite a while trying to call me and let me know they were there. Customer service had transposed my phone number so they were calling the wring number! It took them well over 3.5 hours to move my 1 bedroom 1,000 sf loft. 2nd move - I wasn't going to use them a 2nd time but they offered me a fixed price (I thought it cost too much money/time last time). The movers were hits late this time, as soon as they got there they started pointing out things they would not move. Seemed like they were trying to do as little as possible. Their dolly broke and they dropped my armoire and broke one of the doors off of it. They refused to move one of my couches b/c they said it was broken - I let them throw it away instead. I'm easy to work with and I was buying new stuff soon anyways! Then they refused to bring my queen sized platform bed frame up from the loading dock b/c they said some of the screws were loose and it was "wobbly." They said they wldnt be able to position it safely into the freight elevator safely...whatever. I basically begged them to pls move it. They right out refused! Later that evening my 98 lb size zero gal pal and I moved it ourselves safely positioning it into a REGULAR sized elevator!!! I am 4 ft 11 inches and me and the naÃ¯f did what AM said their two grown men said was impossible!! I didn't list every problem I had - not enough time in the day!! Bad service, bad movers, lazy, careless, shoddy equipment, etc etc etc!!!!!!
