I believe that I am a latest victim of AAAutoProtection/AA Auto Protection/AAAutoWarranty/AA Auto Warranty and Royal Administration Services, Inc. Shame on me for not finding this website before I was persuaded by a sweet-talking salesman from AAAutoProtection to buy what turned out to be an illusionary extended car warranty policy (which they now label as service contracts for not so obvious reasons).

I don't want to bore folks with lengthy details. Suffice is to say that I believe my valid repair claim was denied by Royal Administration wrongfully, arbitrarily, and against the manifest weight of evidence. My unfortunate encounter with AAAutoProtection and Royal Administration confirmed much of what other folks had previously complained of on this forum. For example, it appears to be true that overbroad and ambiguous terms in the contract give extended warranty companies virtually unfettered discretion to deny any claim on their whim leaving you with very little or no recourse. I guess they need to make their fortunes somehow. In my case, however, I experienced few very interesting twists.

After Royal Administration arbitrarily denied my claim, I looked into the possibility of starting an arbitration that their contract of adhesion binds you over and realized the process would be cumbersome and lengthy, if it was possible at all. I then stumbled upon RipOffReport.com and found out I was not alone in being taken for a ride by these extended warranty networks. It was rude awakening. I decided to immediately cancel my contract with them, demanded refund, which I waited some 25 days to receive (a nice interest-free loan for AAAutoProtection !!). But when my refund check finally came in the mail (lucky me), I discovered they RIPPED ME OFF AGAIN.

You see, our contract expressly states that upon cancellation the only charges could be imposed on me are for a prorated amount of time the policy was in effect and a $35 cancellation fee. Nothing else. And I've never agreed to anything outside of the contract. I therefore estimated that AAAutoProtection would charge me about $185 and expected the rest of my money (some $2,045) to be refunded. But despite my numerous inquiries about the amount of refund, both AAAutoProtection and Royal Administration kept me in the dark until the end, conveniently pointing fingers on each other.

And when my refund check from AAAutoProtection finally arrived, no statement of how they had calculated my refund was included. But along came the letter stating: Cashing Check Signifies that You Accept the Amount to be Full and Final Refund. Wow, what a sleazy trick, don't you agree? After demanding an explanation, I learned that AAAutoProtection had charged me not only the prorated amount but also nailed me with an additional fee of $150 instead of $35 out of the blue and contrary to our contract.

And so I asked AAAutoProtection who or what in the blue hell gave it any right to help itself with extra $115 out of my refund.

Now hear this !! In nutshell, the response from Marc Kamin, an employee of AAAutoProtection, (if that was his even real name) came in as follows: WE COULD DO WHATEVER WE WANT. GO AHEAD AND GET A LAWYER OR COMPLAIN TO ATTORNEY GENERAL, BBB, etc. WE DON'T GIVE A CRAP.

But it didn't stop there. When I informed Marc Kamin about my intention to post my grievances on RipOffReport.com, he beat me to it !! The very next day Kamin (or his cronies perhaps) created a fake account on RipOffReport.com pretending to be me and posted some ridiculous ranting of a madman. Marc Kamin, you need to learn proper grammar and punctuation if you wish to play me, you pathetic little coward.

But I suppose Lord Kamin was not kidding. AAAutoProtection is indeed seems to think of itself as a bunch of self-proclaimed Gods who can do anything !!

I should probably consider myself lucky that I was ripped off by AAAutoProtection with Royal Administration for only about $300, for it could have been worse. No excuse for my ignorance of not doing due diligence on them before giving them my money. However, I hope that news of my misfortune CAN SAVE OTHER FOLKS from grief of being taken advantage of by this, WHICH I NOW FIRMLY BELIEVE, shady network of white-collar schemers.

If for any reason AAAutoProtection and Royal Administration wish to challenge my allegations in this report, I here publicly invite them both to waive their contractual rights of binding arbitration and submit to jurisdiction of Ohio courts, so we could resolve our dispute by an impartial jury. So how about that, Marc Kamin?
