A2z Logistics
Money taken scam.
25th of Aug, 2011 by DEF69
A2Z Logistics, aka AAAutoshipping is dishonest. One "Owner," Kurt, responded to an email request I made and was really friendly and helpful. He gave me a competitive quote to transport a pick-up truck from California to Texas. I agreed and paid using PayPal online on the 18th of June.
As soon as I sent the money, it beccame very difficult to reach Kurt. After a very pointed email, his "Partner," Danny called me back. Danny shifted the blame on Kurt, who was conveniently on vacataion and not available. Danny said Kurt was new and did not know the bussiness. I discussed with Danny my displeasure at not being able to reach anybody since sending my money in. Danny assured me it was accidental, Kurt's fault etc... When I asked when my truck would be shipped, I found out that A2Z is not a trucking company, but a broker, and they move loads by putting the load into a computer and waiting for a driver or trucking company to bid for the load...And that it could take a couple of weeks (27 June).
Minimal communications were received from Danny, unless I called him, and when I did there was no update. Danny lied to me about contacting the person in California where the truck was supposed to be picked up, when I threatened to cancel my shipment with him, he got angry and cussed at me.
In early July, he called and said he needed more money to get the truck moved. He claimed to have a truck ready to take the load at a $150 higher fee. After some more unprofessional argument, I consented and agreed to pay more.....Then he told me that the truck would conveniently arrive during the time I was going to be out of the State...(Dates I gave him at the very beginning), and the truck driver required cash....
I arranged to have someone there with cash. The night before I left to go out of state, the truck driver called from California to ask about the load. He got very upset when he found out the truck he was picking up was a full size pick up, not an old Jeep CJ. He said he didn't have the room on his truck, and that he couldn't transport it for the agreed fee. He sent me a copy of his load description, showing it as a jssp cj...He also searched for a DOT license, and discovered that they have not been in bussiness very long and are not licensed....(not really sure what type of license or what is required)
Now Danny or Kurt will not return my calls, texts or emails. They owe me $100. I was able to ship it with DAS at less than what A2Z was trying to squeeze out of me. A2Z is dishonest, I recommend avoiding them completely.
