| A.G.E advertised a physiotherapy assistant job on gum tree. The advert states no experience required as training will be provided. I applied for the job attaching my cv. Two days later I recieved a call from a lady by the name of Chelsi. She told me that she has recieved my cv, but she said she notice that I do not have any CPR or Manual handling qualifiations on there. She then went on to say that, she has arranged an interview for me with a physiotherapy and that I must complete the CPR and Manual handling course before she can send me for the interview. She gave me the interview date but no further details. I then agree to do the course with the anticipation that there is an interview lined up for me. I reluctantly paid 250 for both courses. Chelci told me that I will get a call from the physiotherapy 2 days after the course to arrange a location for my interview. On the day of the course I travelled to the location in London bridge. The tutor was late. The quality of the teaching was very poor, the writing on the projector was blury and the tutor did not know how to adjust it so I could barely see anything. At that point I started to think this must be a con. At the end of the session we were not given any hand outs, so I ask for an handout and the tutor said he was not instructed to give handouts. Two days after the course I waited anciusly for the phone call from the physiotherapist but did not recieve any call. I then phoned chelci to let her know, she did not seen as enthusiastic as she was at the start. She said there is nothing she can do. At that point I new it was a big scam. Up to this day I have not recieved any interviews or calls from any one at A.G.E train. I called them every week but get no where I really dont want them to get away with it. They are still advertising job on gumtree and totaljob. People please dont fall for it, as conviencing as it may look, its a scam. |

| Age medical, nightmare to work with. After contacting them after having completed my training, I was told I would get a call from an employer very soon, however 1week passed and I heard nothing. I began to worry and started to think of ways I could get my money back. Nevertheless I contacted agmedical and explained the situation to them, they assured me they would put me forward for a job immediately and apologised for the delay. The following day I received a phone call from an employer who had received my CV from age medical. As it is a permanent position I won't have to work through AGE. I had successfully passed the interview and trial stage and will be starting work within 2weeks. Even though AGE did help me find work, I feel that it was always me doing all the chasing and running around, as they seemed to not take me seriously. I won't be going through them again. It felt to me they didnt really care about me as an indiviual, only when i called in a few times, that's when they pulled their fingers out their backside and at least got me an interview. |

Got contacted by these people today too and though I was outside in busy traffic, the consultant didn't seem to mind and promised me good hourly rates in a Kensington hospital IF I take the bloody courses (MH and CPR). She then quickly forwarded me to the training team to take my card details. My money-sense started to tingle and I've realised there's definitely something wrong here, went online and lo and behold - my intuition saved me 255 quid. Don't trust them! Keep away! Don't be a sucker! Do some research and you'll find other sites with AGE related scam reports, some of them answered with the SAME generic copy/paste response from AGE. Google it! |

they are still advertising on gumtree. i am so happy to have come across these comments. i have been feeling so low and depressed about how they con'd me. its terible
they now advertise on gumtree stating to have vacancies for a legal/paralegal/secretary jobs and tranining for interns, graudates etc. as i am desperate for a training contract i sent my cv and covering letter via gumtree. i got a call the next morning from an overly enthusiatic woman, she got me feeling very very excited, insted of representing herself a recruitment advisor she spoke to me as an employer :/ telling me of the roles and duties i would be taking on etc and being gullable to her sweet talk i agreed to caryy on, she then told me id hav to pay for a training (£200) before i can start these jobs that were aprntly also 'located very close to me, and had part time hours..what a coincidence? more like bullshit lies!! :'(
i then paid for the training, spoke to my boy freind about it, who told me to call back and demand a refund straigt away as it sounds like such a scam, a rip off!! so i did a quick reserach and came across many pissed of comments about thier fraud ways. i called by 2 hours later n was told id recieve only £50 over the post, as cheque withing 28 days (still waiting..) but i only called by 2 hours later so why are they charging me the full amount, what admin fee's? admins fees for what, i called back within a day, before any arangments could be made for training. i was sure this was a scum! these people are disgusting revolting fakes!
please do not fall for the gumtree adds and their sweet talks!
why do they pretend to be employers, when really their not?
why do we hav to pay over the phone, all recruitment companies meet their clients for a formal interview first!
i hav never been charged by a recruitment company ever before!
when i called back the woman spoke to me in an ill manner compared to her previous cheery voice!
