I bought a pair of ugg australia boots on the internet. I searched for ugg australia, and found the particular boots I was looking for. When I ordered them I was concerned that they didn't take my credit card (of course I could have got my money back if they had!) and ended up putting my debit card down. Admittedly that was very stupid, and I will never do it again. Concerned to get an email thanking me for my order and immediately giving me a dispute company who were my contact should I have any problems. MUCH more concerning was an email that told me the £60 was subject to change with the exchange rate with the Chinese Yen. I was very alarmed then, but the money had gone, so I was just hopeful. After 2 weeks I received a letter from Deckers UK saying that the UK Borders Agency had confiscated my boots as they were counterfeit, and I should contact the company to get a refund. OF COURSE none has been forthcoming, so I am £60 out of pocket. I am a new curate in the Church of England, and so have very little money, and this represented most of my daughter's Christmas present. I feel stupid, but am so upset that despite replies saying that they will respond in 48hrs I have heard nothing. The website HAD A SMUDGE NEXT TO THE ugg BIT WHICH LOOKED LIKE A registered trade mark sign. ONLY when I had them confiscated did I enlarge the supposed T to find out it was just a smudge. FLAMING scam MERCHANTS. This is so so unfair. PLEASE be careful when you buy ugg boots, there are loads of counterfeit companies trying to sell them.
