Zagg, Inc. Invisible Shields Terrible Customer Service, Kept items AND money, will not return emails or phone calls Salt Lake City, Utah |

I made a purchase of an InvisibleShield for iPad 2 the day it went out. I waited a week and got no shipping updates from Zagg, so I went on its website to check my order status. -- The Zagg website would not recognize the order number nor my email. It shocked me and I even doubted myself ever making that purchase. As a result, I registered with another email account and made another purchase of the same item. Two days later, an email was sent to my original purchase email account, saying the order was delayed and it has been shipped. I immediately contacted Zagg, telling them I have already ordered a replacement and they can keep the item. They told me there's nothing they can do, so I have to pay return shipping to send the item back to them, and I cannot refuse shipment or they will charge my account for the return shipping anyway. So I had to suck it up and paid for the return shipping of something I didn't even have a look at for more than a second, then the fun began. Zagg denied receiving my return package even though I had USPS tracking information right in their face. They later changed their story and tried to tell me they had so many returns to deal with so I had to wait. After repeated attempts to contact their customer service, they somehow managed to send a payment through PayPal (the method I used to pay) of $27.19. It is $4.80 off the original purchase price, and I had to pay $1.06 PayPal fee to receive that payment. I ended up paying not only for return shipping, but also the mysterious $4.80 and PayPal fees. Nobody from Zagg has since answered any of my emails questioning their unjustified conducts. Also, that second order I placed, it never arrived as well. Zagg is also holding on to my item and my money, and will not return any of my email attempts. I've been repeatedly shocked by the poor customer service this company offers, and I'm going to let all of you out there to know that this is a company that only cares about your money, and they will try anything they can to hold on to your money. I'm left with one last option now - conduct a Credit Card charge back. I don't really want to do it because it's not really PayPal's fault but I had to take my money back. I hope all the people at Zagg die in hell. Just to make sure I'm telling the truth, the two order numbers are: IC3176650 and IC3229032. Return RMA number: 3876364IC3229032GBAPPIPAD. My return shipping USPS tracking number: 9405503699300050792169. Now, for those guys still want to go out and buy their overpriced products, feel free to do so. Just don't forget I've told you before, that if you run into problems like mine, you're in for a huge headache. |
