Internet Dating Site: XXXCupid.com Owner: Cytek, Ltd. Refund obtained. Like many others, I was ripped off by XXXCupid.com. If something appears too good to be true it probably is...unfortunately we forget that logic when it comes to adult websites. After signing up for 3 days for a dollar, I planned to forget it. Then I started receiving emails from tons of girls dying to meet me. It was interesting that almost no one responded until after my trial period expired. So in a moment of foolishness I gave the site the benefit of the doubt and signed up for a month Gold membership. I spent about two hours trying to access all the "extra" features promised with this membership, only to find that they were all just links to pay sites. I was very angry, and read their entire terms and conditions, which basically states that they are ripping you off and that you knowingly agree to be ripped off. Ha, it is amazing what these people think they can trick people into believing is legally binding...especially when the terms and conditions themselves are basically a fraudulent contract. Fortunately, I know a fair amount about the law and was determined to get my refund. The following is the email I sent demanding my refund: [email protected] wrote: Site Name: xxxcupid.com Account: XXXXXX Account Name: XXXXXX Password: XXXXX ATTN: XXXCupid Customer Service and Billing: My screen name is XXXXXXXX. I purchased a month membership today, after my free week. It is abundantly clear that your website is a scam. You falsely advertise and use fraudulent tactics. I do not care that you send fake messages to get people interested in the site and believing that someone is interested in them. This is a very scandalous tactic, however not fraudulent. Now what is fraud is the fact that you do not provide the products you advertise on your site. Your chat/cam system does not function. It is not real. Despite changing the location, the members remained the same. Your instant messaging system is also fake. I tested it over 50 times simply asking someone to respond so I could confirm it functions, not a single one did. This is the same for your search system. The same pictures and profiles show up for different states. Meaning you are not offering the ability to connect with others that you purport to sell. This is textbook false advertisement and is illegal. Lastly, your site advertises that users can click on the camera or chat section to meet with other members in real time. This is advertised as chatting with other members...not with pay-per-minute strippers. Not only does it not work; its true function is to funnel users to your pay cam and chat sites. Again you are engaging in fraudulent advertisement. I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED IMMEDIATELY. I do not care about any twisted legalese in your terms and conditions. You are knowingly running a fraudulent site. In order to save time on both our ends, I highly suggest you refund my purchase. It would be in your best interest. You can continue ripping off other people, I don't give a damn. However, you will not get away with stealing from me. Thank you in advance for my refund. Within two hours I received an email stating my money would be refunded. So if you have been ripped off by them or by a similar site...Demand Your Refund! Furthermore, I did some further research and found that the owner of xxxcupid named Cytek Limited. Within the XXXcupid terms and conditions, the company claims to be based out of Barbadoes. While on another site they are supposedly located in the United Kingdom. The company does not have a website. I couldn't find a phone number anywhere. The only info on it is listed in the terms and conditions of their sites, and in legal documents of lawsuit they are involved in. The most I could find were the addresses in Barbados and UK. hmmmm. The fact that they refunded my money within hours and did not respond to any of the fraud I highlighted, is basically an admission of wrongdoing in my opinion. My refund kind felt like the equivalent of hush money. LOL. Well, I know this was a little long. I wanted to report the scam, but also show people that you can get a refund. Good luck to anyone that gets screwed...and get that REFUND! |

Dude, the same thing happend to me with manplay.com, owned by Cytek, Ltd, which has some complay called manplay.com video chat which was taking money out of my checking account when I never had a video chat with anyone on manplay.com video chat. Not only that, the so called customer service number of 1-866-941-3982, has a bunch of rude lesbians and gay guys going by the names of Jones, Anderson, Ron, Jack, and laughing at customers and telling them they will never get their money back. CYTEK, LTD., needs to be investigated by the U.S. Attonrey General’s Office Consumer Fraud Department. That’s my suggestion. |
