X-BOX LIVE Microsoft X-BOX LIVE Microsoft Scam Billing Retroactively For Non-Service Internet, Washington |

I recently renewed my sons x-box live gold 12 month membership. We had also recently moved from Florida to California and his original membership ended after 12 months. That was sometime in January 2011. It is now April 2nd and I decided to go on line and get him another 12 month membership. The www.billing.microsoft.com (this is a horrible site, terrible navigation and gives you no information. You would think that Microsoft with their legions of programmers could make something better, but this is another story) -took my $59.99 sure enough. It also stored my new credit card info and address. But after that my son could not get on line with his x-box. After a 30+ minute hold time I was able to get someone on the phone at customer support for x-box. After another 15 minutes of the service tech trying to find my account and getting info from me I was told a number of disturbing things. 1.That my account was suspended and that it would take another 2-4 days to get it back up again. There was no notice of this on the billing site. My account had gone into some kind of gray hole where its not closed but they sure took my cash anyway. 2. That I would only have approximately 8 month of membership left even though I had just paid for 12 months in full. 3. That I would be retroactively billed for the 4 months between the time the original 12 months lapsed and the time of my payment today even though we had zero-no service for these 4 months from Microsoft x-box. 4.That I could not get a refund on the payment I just made. Microsoft is one of the wealthiest companies in the world. Do they really need to treat their customers this way and rip them off? This is a class action lawsuit waiting for a motivated smart law firm. This is a scam plain and simple. Just not right. Greed and arrogance at work here. |
