I clicked the unsubscribe button at the bottom of one of these ads, and received a response saying that my unsubscribe request would take up to 30 days to go into effect.I wrote back saying that 30 days doesn't cut it, when all it takes is a click of a button to delete someone's name from an email list.I also sent the sender, Christopher James, a link to the following news article published at Salon.com about a lawyer in San Francisco who makes a living suing spammers:

and warning him not to be surprised if someone sues him for spamming them.Christopher James wrote back that he considered this to be a death threat and said he would report me to the police.

I wrote back to him to let him know that some members of Congress are entertaining possible do not spam legislation that would provide for the creation of a do not spam registry and civil penalties similar to those administered by the FTC for its do not call registry.

People with limited data plans on their cell phones have to PAY when they receive spam.I did not consciously or knowingly sign up to receive email from this company.I don't need custom T-Shirts, and if did I would NEVER, EVER order them from this company over the internet.I can't think of a more atrocious way for an internet company to interact with a potential customer.This company's refusal to stop violating my privacy by spamming me, and their belligerent email perfectly exemplify why do not spam legislation is urgently needed.
