The not so wise locksmith in Kenmore. I had a very regrettable experience with Chris Wiessman, the owner. I am a General Contractor and I contacted Chris last July and requested a quote for a Kaba LD470. This is a combination lock with an ADA handle and a stainless finish. Chris quoted me $135 for each of them plus $20 for shipping. I told him to order me 2 of them. After almost 2 weeks of waiting Chris contacted me and said they were in. However, Chris demanded that I pay him cash instead of with a check or credit card. I reminded him that I was a contractor and I could not pay him cash. I also told him that I would defiantly need a sales receipt. Chris told me that if I didn't pay him in cash that he would need charge me sales tax even though I have a resale permit. . I told him this was unacceptable. He then said in that case that I would have to pay $390 for them even though he quoted me only $290. I refused this quote as well. Chris changed his mind and then agreed to sell me them for what I was quoted. I then went to the store and gave Chris a check. He gave me 2 random boxes and Chris twice asserted they were the Kaba locksets that I ordered. I took them to my shop and looked them over. They were a combination lock but instead of a Kaba they were a Combination Lock model #400. This is an entirely different manufacturer and part number. They did look similar, so the next day I tried to install them, but I discovered at the jobsite that they were both missing many parts. That day I tried to call Chris 3 times and complain. Each time I got a hold of James and he assured me that Chris would call me back, but he never did. The next day I reluctantly decided to cancel my check since it was clear that I was deceived by Chris into buying a set of locks that were of no measurable value. Chris Later called me admitted that he lied about the lock sets, but said it was my fault because I was only willing to pay $135.00. Chris is simply the most dishonest and unprofessional locksmith that I have ever dealt with and I would strongly discourage everyone from patronizing the Wise Locksmith. |

James from Allied was informed he had a 90 day guarantee to return his product .He stopped payment and went to Canada .He did return our 2 locksets back by mail with in 90 days but slightly damaged and
missing parts that were in a sealed box. One code lock returned was ok to operate but the second lock was destroyed beyond repair and we recieved no credit when returned from our supplier. James Colver now has posted over 6 negative reviews about this and will not stop. |
