I had wildblue internet provider. I would agree with some of the reports that I have read here. The renewal of the usage plan is fraudulent. Especially if you exceed the limits. I found that if you exceed the upload or download limits, it will take twice as long to renew the limits. Customer service is very unreliable. But, what I had a hard time understanding is the moving of the dish policies. I lived with my parents for a short period of time and needed internet service. Like most on here, not many choices out there. So, I went with wildblue. I lived with my parents for about 13 months and finally had the opportunity to move out. I figured I had 7 months of the 2 year agreement with wildblue and could disconnect my service. So, I called and had the dish moved, which they did not physically come out to move the equipment. Instead they sent me a box for the old equipment and gave me new equipment for my new residence. I thought that was fine. In the contract it states that your entitled to 1 free move. Okay, so what I can't figure out is why i signed another "NEW CONTRACT" of course without knowing, and nobody explained to me that i would be signing in for another 2 years. So, when my 7 months expired I called to cancel. And was enlightened on the fact that I owe 13 months of service. What is a "FREE MOVE ?" I owe over $500 in charges for this company. I sent the equipment back and are still being charged. Plus the few hundred for the canceled service that I had no idea I was signing for. I was smart though, I canceled the checking account they were withdrawing from. So, they weren't able to withdrawal the funds without my permission. And trust me they did try, they tried many, many times, including calling my bank trying to acquire my new account information without my permission. I send them a payment every month in the form of a money order or cashiers check. I send them 5$. Figure it would cost them over half of that to process the check, sometimes it's less than that. I figured if their willing to screw me over, I'd give them a taste of their own. I know for a fact that this company will get away with this, but I figured I would share. Far as I'm concerned as long as I'm paying "something" a month it can't be disputed. I may have a glitch on my credit report, but it also shows it's being paid slowly.... |
