July 23rd 2010 I ordered a wig on sale from Wigsalon. It came in dry and frizzy, so I returned it for the one exchange that was allowed. I chose a regular priced item this time, to avoid said quality issues. However, it took me three weeks of waiting, seeing my returned item reappear on their site, and being sold again, plus two or three e-mails, to get Wigsalon to process my exchange. They had already agreed on price matching for the exchange item, but in retrospect decided not to.

Again, the item came in frizzy and dried out - obviously used and not new. I had this confirmed by a local wigsalon, who didn't know of the background story, but just judged the item for repair - and said it wasn't possible to repair a wig as worn as this one.
Wigsalon now refuses to take the item back and exchange, or refund me. I have opened a dispute on Paypal for the shipping cost of the exchange item - since they waited so long processing the exchange, the period of disputing the original order amount has expired. I enclosed an explanation and request for Wigsalon, but only received a message by Paypal, saying Wigsalon had just upgraded the dispute to a claim without comments.

In most cases, Paypal says, issues of "item doesn't match description" aren't eligible for reviewing transactions. In four days I will know if they will make an exception. If not, I'm out more than $200, three times postage and customs/duties included. The item cost $150.
