After my experience with an online furniture order from Wholesale Furniture Brokers (www.gowfb.com) I am warning prospective customers that when/if a problem occurs it is not always dealt with and the problem can spin into months of lost time, stress and frustration. ALSO - read the restrictive and expensive Return policy and Claims procedure BEFORE you buy. Do a search for complaints against Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com) and read other customers' experiences. BUYER BEWARE. Here is the brief version of my experience omitting all the phone calls and email notes that have passed to get absolutely nowhere: I ordered and paid for a platform bed from Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com) on Oct 22/10 and told it would be delivered in Dec/10. It was a Christmas gift. After many shipping delays the wrong bed was delivered on Jan 17/11! Advised Wholesale Furniture Brokers (www.gowfb.com) of problem. Correct bed arrived February 1/11. Advised Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com) that correct bed had incorrect legs. Demanded refund. It is now March 26/2011 and after many requests by phone and email I do not have a refund. Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com) says they'll 'offer' a refund but want to pick up the merchandise first - not a chance that's going to happen. So after over 5+ months of communication with this company there does not seem to be any sort of resolution in sight. I have reviewed other online complaints about Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com) and found that this is not unusual behaviour when there is a problem with an order. I want my money back and for Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com). I want Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com) to be upfront and to post negative reviews as well as the glowing reviews at www.gowfb.com so that other consumers can take make a considered decision before ordering from Wholesale Furniture Brokers (gowfb.com). |

How do we spread the word about this? It is clearly a very big problem. When I checked their status on-line they have 17 complaints with the Better Business Bureau in the last 36 months(and only 1 in their CA office).
I would stay far away from Wholesale Furniture Brokers...I ordered a child's bunk bed from them and it's bed an the worse ordeal ever. I have waited THREE MONTHS to get the furniture and when it arrived it was damaged(which happens).
The worst part is that no-one will respond to you and when they do they lie, one person sends you an email saying the furniture is in transit and then another will send an email THE SAME DAY saying it is being processed!!!
It's been four months and I have the credit card bill for the bed and no functionning bed. When I called the president Dave Zerhelt-he asked what I wanted him to do about it...speaks volumes!!! Maybe they should have his quote on their website!!!:
It seems to me that they are using the internet as a way of frauding customers, I feel like there must be a way of using the internet to let would-be customers know about the REAL Wholesale Furniture Brokers, before they too are victims...
I think maybe FB will be a start... |
