I have been job hunting and I noticed an add in our local newspaper that looked interisting. The add read "Courier Driver" No experience.Flexiable Hours.Salaried Position. Please Call !-888-301-8471. I figured I had nothing to loose so I called the toll free number. The call was answeared by a man named Frank Duncan. I asked him about the company and what the job would require. He told me I would be collecting money from 45 private pay phones in my area and wire transfering the funds to the parent company. If I chose to take the job the salary would be$3,200.00 per month. I would be mailed the keys and the route maps as soon as I sent a $295.00 bond deposit to the company and begin immediatly or I could wait for a packet of information that would be mailed to me on november 1st. I told him I was reluctant to send any money in advance without something in my hands directly from the company and i asked him the name of the business. He told me it was Wexson Services and they were listed with the Better Business Bureau. He said he understood my reluctance to part with my money but that the company would be putting their keys to the pay phone cash boxes in my hands so a bond must be paid. He also stated that the longer I waited the better routes would be taken. I told him I wanted to think about it and that I would call him back If I had any other questions. I got online and found nothing about Wexson Services except adds for the same job offer in San Antonio and Austin Texas. I tried the BBB in houston and found nothing. I called him back the next day but got his answearing machine. I left a message. He returned my call and it showed up as a payphone number. When I asked him about that he said he was running his route and he was using one of his payphones. When Iasked him about theBBB info he said they were listed in Los Angeles. I told him I was still interested in the job but I was going to wait for the packet of information from the company. It is now November 1st and guess what? No packet and the number for Frank Duncan is no longer in service! |
