Westsouthjobs Debra Baker and Katara Jackson Fake Baxter Healthcare Job Recruiting Scam Long Island , New York |
16th of Jul, 2011 by User469441 |
This company called Westsouthjobs contacted me via a text message stating they were an outsourcing company for Baxter Healthcare. They wanted to interview me for a position claiming they received my resume from Jobbanks.com(a resume posting service). The person representing them a Debra Baker, wanted to interview via Yahoo Messenger. She then goes thru an introductory process providing extensive information about Baxter Healthcare and stating she's the interview manager for them. She states they want to now provide a home based business opportunity naming several jobs they are offering. She then goes thru an elaborate interviewing process after which she states you need certain software to begin the position. The first software purchase is for $250 which needs to be wired via Western Union to a Katara Jackson in Bossier, La.(Her third party vendor). After this is done, she asks you to scan the Western Union receipt and email it to her at Westsouthjobs.com for approval and then a FedEx tracking number was to be given. She then states the software will be loaded and overnighted with the provided computer and congratulates you on joining the company. You are then to meet her the next morning at 9 am. upon where she goes over some bogus details and then states you need to purchase some additional software for $750 dollars...that's where I became suspicious and called Baxter Healthcares corporate office and alerted their VP of security. They informed me this was a scam and they would be investigating it for me. |
