water scam filtration simpleh20 simpleh2o waterworld mel keeler |
mel keeler of waterworld slanders stacy molyneaux and danfordlake.com |
13th of Dec, 2011 by stacy molyneaux |
After being exposed as a con artist for selling cheap
filtration products at inflated prices, Mel Keeler of
waterworld takes to name calling when his employee Stacy
Molyneaux quit working for him.
Mel Keeler is now saying that he has fired Stacy. The fact is
that Stacy quit after discovering waterworld is a scam that
takes money from people in exchange for cheap filtration
equipment. Waterworld uses "trick science" to make people
believe their water is not clean.
How the trick works:
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
The Science Behind the Chemical Drops
Some substances dissolve in water, like salt. They are said
to be soluble in water. Take a teaspoon of salt and stir it
into a glass of water and it disappears because it dissolves
– that is, it stops being a solid and becomes part of the
liquid. Some substances do not dissolve in water, like sand.
They are said to be insoluble in water. Take a teaspoon of
sand and stir it into a glass of water and it remains a
solid, which will settle to the bottom when you stop
stirring.
In the reaction that we witnessed, two chemicals were added
to the water. The first was Potassium Hydroxide, which
increases the pH of the water. The second chemical contains
“sulfates”. When the pH is high, the sulfates combine with
calcium in the tap water to form Calcium Sulfate.
Calcium Sulfate is insoluble, so it does the opposite of
dissolving – it precipitates. That is, it changes from a
liquid to a solid right before our eyes (just like salt
changes from a solid to a liquid before our eyes if we stir
it in water). Precipitation is just dissolving in reverse.
The water sample that was treated by the salesperson has had
the calcium removed, so no precipitation occurs.
So the precipitation reaction just proves that tap water
contains calcium – a mineral that is essential in our diet.
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
After Stacy Molyneaux exposed this sales scam, Mel has
stooped to name calling and making false accusations. Here is
the REAL STORY... (Some internet posts of people he conned
and my exposure to his scam that started his rants)

When I was phoned by Waterworld, I unfortunately allowed the
salesman(?) to come to give me a demo of the RO unit he
wanted to show me...I got the spiel that my tap water was
contaminated and unhealthy to use and he proceeded to start
his demo, with a so-callled illustration of what my tap water
looked like without the SimpleH20 system...Long story short I
bit. He gave me a special price for that day but it was so
expensive!! Mel then laid out a payment plan and there would
be no payments for one year!!! I agree to have a unit
installed and a plumber (one of his men) came in the evening
to install it. A few things weren't right and Mel finally got
Stacy to come look at it...he put it right, , with no fee
(bless him!) I was a bit leery about what was left in the tap
water!!?? Turns out there is nothing left in the treated
water...essential minerals etc.
The payments started at the end of the first year...and I
found out the debt had been financed by the TDBank!! Not much
I could do to stop the automatic withdrawals...As well when I
enquired about replacing filters after the year's usage, it
would cost me $150 and I could install them myself!! If a
plumber was assigned to install new filters it would be his
fee on top of that. It was also suggested that I test my
water, before deciding to change the filters...if I went that
route, I would have to pre-pay the cost of Waterworld (Mel)
sending me the testing bottles...then pay for their return to
him with the sample taken from the RO unit. That is when i
found out, apart from the CBC Marketplace which I had seen)
that filters are available from other sources and they are
not $150!!!
I no longr use the Unit and wish I could get rid of it!!!

very obliging and competent. Knew what he was doing as he
found that the original guy who installed the Unit had done
it improperly...My impression of Mel Keeler was that he was a
fairly nice fellow at first encounter, but I was uneasy about
the whole deal. He told me I was his first customer!! And I
always had trouble reaching his office by telephone...There
was no after-sales service offered or promoted...Sorry I ever

I never had dealings with waterworld but stacy has been my
dads plumber for over 20 years and he also just did a
renovation for me. I never seen him intoxicated and quite
frankly, I don't see how someone could do the kind of jobs he
does under the influence. I think waterworld is trying to
drag his name through the mud because stacy disclosed their
scam to the public. I will be a character witness for stacy
anytime and so will my family and friends. Thank you stacy
for giving the people a voice on here. With all the people
calling waterworld a scam there must be some truth to it.

I worked for a Company who was scamming people. When I found
out what they were up to, I quit. After I exposed them, they
went on the offensive with slander and lies about me hoping
to deflect attention. I am only posting the truth about them
and hope Mr. Keeler (Company owner) will see the error of his
way's and close shop.
The Company is from Buckingham Quebec, 390 ave buckingham.
Owner is Mahlon "Mel" Keeler. The company sells tankless
water heaters that are not CSA approved, not recommended for
use in Canada and are sold at inflated prices. This Company
is under investigation by the RBQ.
Waterworld also sells products from a Company called
SimpleH2o. Products include:
Softeners (cost under $500 and re-sold for $3, 000)
Reverse Osmosis (Cheap Chinese filters that cost under $200
and re-sold for $3, 000 or more!!)
Filters (Cost as little as $45 and re-sold for over $1, 500)
How the scam works:
Generally, you will receive a phone call from someone
representing "waterworld" offering you a free water
evaluation. With your permission, they send a "water
technician" (fancy word to make you believe he is smart) to
your home. These people are usually ex vacuum cleaner
salesmen. The Company SimpleH2o is owned by Tri-Star and sell
vacuum cleaners as well as water filtration systems. TOTAL
SCAM! Best defense is to hang up the phone!
They prey on the elderly and often won't leave until they
have a sale. Please let people know about this scam so they
can be prepared.
CBC Market Place did an investigation on the Reverse Osmosis
part of the scam and you can view it online here:

Waterworld, Mahlon "Mel" Keeler
Buckingham Qc. Slanders DanfordLake.com
After exposing a sales scam perpetrated by waterworld, my
name and web site is now being slandered by Mel Keeler. I
just want all visitors of this site to understand that before
you hire ANYONE to do work for you, check for references.
Mahlon Keeler is still running the same scam but is now under
investigation by the RBQ and has already had a couple of
court cases against him. The last court case, Mr. Keeler
failed to show up for court and the Judge ruled against him.
I am not sorry for exposing Waterworld, have no regrets and
his slander against me is just part of who he is.
Warning:
A free water evaluation is being offered over the phone by a
company called waterworld from Buckingham Qc. Remember,
nothing is free, it is just a ploy to get inside your house
and sell you something you don't need, for thousands of
dollars you cannot afford! They also leave water test bottles
for you to return. These are not from an accredited
laboratory. Beware of this sales scam.
Not sure about your water quality? Make a call to your local
municipality. If it is just a matter of taste, such as
chlorine, a $15 jug filter is all you need. Almost any other
water problem can be fixed for less than $200. You should
never accept an offer made over the phone. Just hang up and
if they persist, call your local police.

Here is the original report that exposed the water filtration
scam perpetrated by mel mahlon keeler of Buckingham Quebec.
After the story was posted on danfordlake.com over a year
ago, Mahlon Mel
Keeler started his slander of danfordlake.com and stacy
molyneaux. ORIGINAL NEWS POST (Over a year ago)
Salesmen are being trained at water world, 390 avenue
Buckingham, Buckingham Quebec on "how to make money by
convincing people their water is un-safe"
Company owner Mahlon "Mel" Keeler of Bowman is arming his
recruits with "The gift of the gab" and heading out to homes
all over Gatineau, Wakefield, Cantley, Chelsea, Low, Venosta,
Kazabazua,
Shawville, CampbellsBay and all areas in between. hoping to
snag some older, pensioners living alone waiting for some
company.
Some of these new recruits will even claim to be water
specialists, but don't be fooled, they all want the same
thing... your hard earned savings! They come with swimming
pool testing equipment and
will scare you into thinking your water (you and your family
have been drinking for hundreds of years) is now not good for
you and only they can fix this phantom problem. So have your
check book
ready and be prepared to hand over anywhere from 3 Thousand
to 10 or fifteen thousand dollars in many years of easy
payments. (Price is dependant on how bad they decide the
problem is and how
gullible you are)
They will explain how their expensive filters and filtration,
reverse osmosis, re-mineralizing, sterilizing, Chinese made,
filter fighting equipment will magically bring you back to
feeling like a
kid again. No scam, scamming, scammers fraud, no mam'! no
ripoff, scam, no way, no how they will say. We are here to
protect you from your savings.
If you do not buy right away, at this "first caller special"
the owner of waterworld, Mr. Keeler will be sure to get you
on the phone and demand to know why you don't care about your
health. What
is there to think about? Did my "water tech" not explain it
properly? "For god sake at least care about your family" "Let
me help you figure a way that you can have this equipment
today!, don't
wait or think about it" "What is there to think about, don't
you want clean water"? he will ask you, What is more
important he will say... your money or your health?.
So hand over the money, sign the agreement people and you may
live longer, stand taller, smell better, skate faster, see
better, have a better card game, win at Bingo, yadda, yadda!
Then, when the dust clears, you can look back and say "WOW,
that was easy. what is this piece of crap I just paid
thousands for and where did he go"?

After exposing a sales scam perpetrated by waterworld over a
year ago, my name and web site are now being slandered by Mel
Keeler. I just want all visitors of this site to understand
that before you hire ANYONE to do work for you, check for
references. Mahlon Keeler is still running the same scam but
is now under investigation by the RBQ and has already had a
couple of court cases against him. The last court case, Mr.
Keeler failed to show up for court and the Judge ruled
against him. I am not sorry for exposing Waterworld, have no
regrets and his slander against me is just part of who he is.
