I purchased a 2007 Kia Sportage from Wanner Ford in August 2010. One of the selling points of the car was they told there were new brakes put on the vehicle. I received a recall from Kia in October. I took the car in for the recall. As a courtesy they check over the vehicle. They called to let me know I was in need of new rear brakes and my rotors needed to be turned. The measurement was 2/32. I immediatley called Wanner Ford and explained my situation. They ask me to bring the car in and they would check it out. At this point I haven't made my third car payment. And I have put less than 3000 miles the car. I took the car to Wanner Ford. They told me my brakes were fine (4/32). They would pass inspection so there was nothing they can do. I have since put an additional 3500 miles on and just had to replace (03-11-11)my rear brake pads and rotors. My mechanic told me these brakes were original and my brake pads were rubbing metal to metal. I know new brakes last a lot longer than 6500 miles. I also was told at the time of purchase they would be able to repair the passengers side door. There was a large scratch and a small dent. After I signed the papers I had to remind them about fixing the door. A week later I took my car in to Wanner Ford. They had my car three days. I went to pick it up only to find they filled in the scratch with some kind of clear gel. They did no painting or sanding to the scratch. They said I would have to bring it back. So I did. They had the car two days. I went to pick it up. Now the color doesn't even match. The salesman proceeds to tell me "The guy new it wasn't the right color and that I would be bring it back" At this point I was ready to take the car back and tell them to shove it.Mr. Wanner looked at it the second time and said it would need to go to the body shop. Where did they take it the other two times? I took it the third time. The paint still does not match and you can see the airbrush marks. There is over spray on the window. They never did anything to the dent. I was afraid they would do more damage. I am in the process of canceling my warranties with them. I will never let them touch my car again nor will I ever buy a car from them again. |
