Wal-Mart Scatched and Dented Wheels, Three Cuts to New Tire Moulton, Alabama |
26th of Jun, 2011 by User922851 |
On June 19th I spoke with the manager of the service center at Wal-Mart in Moulton. I asked could they mount and balance my new tires that had not yet arrived. I gave them the specs, 305/65/18 with a 9" wheel. No problem was the answer I got. Now..June 23rd my tires come in, I call again and speak with the manager that day...same answer. Drop my truck off..30minutes later they call saying they cannot get my tires on. I return they have one new tire almost on. My wheels are machined black with a crome outline around it. Two tires have the crome scratched and dented due the guys trying to remove the tire from the front side instead of the back. Manager ask me to take my tires to another shop that they will pay for the work and my time and trouble..OK. June 24th I have my tire/wheels examined by the other shop before they touch them. All 4 wheels are damaged, walmart techs used on oversized socket to remove my lugs, the lug holes know have white rings around them. The one tire they put on has 3 cuts from where they used a screw driver to stretch it onto the wheel..on top of the scratched chrome. I spoke with the manager that day by phone when the other shop showed me the rest of the damage, had them print up a description of the damage found. I returned to walmart and this was added to the report from the night before. I pulled the manager aside to tell him of another issue that I had. I had some perscription medicine in my console that was taken found this the night before once i arrived home, I told him I didnt not want to file a police report I just want my tire and wheels replaced. He agreed. Now June 27th I receive a call from walmart corporate (insurance) they ask me about my claim concerning the ONE wheel that they have damaged. He hasnt heard any of the information from the 24th. I am beginning to think I should file the police report and call my lawyer. |
