I signed up with this insurance company for homeowners insurance for my new house and the ajent came and measured the house and inspected it to ,he told me all i had to do was change a couple of wallplugs to GFI plugs so i did . about one year later we had a wind storm in are area and some shingles blew off my roof so i called my insurance and they sent an adjuster the next day and he brang a restoration company with him they looked at the roof and he told me he would call me in acouple of days . well 2 weeks later i had not herd from him so i called him because by then shingles were blowing all over the place and i was worried for leaking because it was raining alot . He answered the phone and told me they were not going to cover my roof because he said it was to old but one year before the adjuster said roof was good . after arguing for a week or two he tells me that they will cover 1 slope but no other and that it cost 1190.00 and your deductable is 1000.00 . so at that piont i needed to fix my roof for minimal further damage . rather than make that claim against myself i fixed it myself out of my pocket . and cancelled them and got a reputable insurance company . everything was fine while i was paying the policy ,soon as i had a problem they did not want to cover it . i am not a roofer but roof looked fine to me . all i want is moneys spent to fix my roof around 6,000 dollars
