I'm just too stupid to shop at Von's on "$5 Fridays". Suppose you saw a Freezer case with packages of shrimp (normally $7.98), hamburger patties (normally $7.98), and hot wings (normally $8.99), and taped right to it were "$5 Friday" signs. That's 10 signs across the front, 5 signs along the right hand side and another 5 signs along the left hand sign. Since you see this ON FRIDAY, which item in the freezer case do you suppose is ON SPECIAL for $5? The answer is: none of the above!!!! If you were to try to buy any of those items you would be charged their normal price. When you protest, they would tell you that all 20 signs were just signage advertising "$5 Friday" and that these signs are all over the store. In reality only 5 items in the entire store, probably about 5% of items that are labelled "$5 Friday" are actually on sale for $5. There are hundreds of signs, most in front of items that are more than $5. But Von's is only going to actually sell you for $5 the 5 items that are actually on sale. Is that list around the store? No. It's at the check out and they jam it in your face when you protest the additional price. I'm just to stupid to shop at Von's on "$5 Fridays" because it's BOGUS!!
