I placed an order for a bottle of tartar remover designed for pets. The product was called LEBAIII, and I wanted it to treat my dog's teeth. I placed my order on 9/01/11, and my credit card was billed on 9/06/11. I do a lot of shopping over the Internet. Typically, I place between 50 and 100 Internet orders every year. Almost every company sends me an order confirmation e-mail within a a few hours of placing the order, which includes a package tracking ID. Some companies will verify my credit card information when I place the order, and bill me at that time. Most companies, however, will not bill my credit card until the order SHIPS. When I placed my order with VitaminBestBuy, I never received an e-mail confirmation for the order. Fortunately, I did a "print screen" of the actual order before I "submitted" it, just in case there was a question/problem with the order. When I noticed that my credit card had been billed 5 days after I placed the order, I assumed that my order had been shipped. After about a week, I still had not received the product, so I sent an e-mail to VitaminBestBuy, inquiring as to the status of the shipment. THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE COURTESY TO SEND A RESPONSE TO MY E-MAIL. I waited a few more days, then I sent a second e-mail. AGAIN, THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE COURTESY TO SEND A RESPONSE TO MY E-MAIL. After again waiting a few more days, I sent them a notice to CANCEL THE ORDER, AND TO RETURN MY PAYMENT TO MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT. Once again, and for the third time, THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE COURTESY TO SEND A RESPONSE TO MY E-MAIL. I subsequently have notified the issuer of my credit card, and I have filed a "Dispute" against company. I have received a "credit - pending a dispute settlement" for the entire amount of $48.99, but I don't know how long it will take to "settle the dispute". My advice to all potential customers is this : FIND ANOTHER COMPANY WITH WHICH TO DO BUSINESS. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, PLACE AN ORDER WITH VITAMINBESTBUY.COM. I only wish that someone else had given me the same advice before I placed my order with that company. |
