I bought two cats from the cattery Vistoria in Poland. Following our agreement I was expecting to receive two show quality cats, but what we got are two pets, a himmy boy who is so long and tall on the leg, with really poor eye colour and bad bite, and a girl who is pretty much the same, although slightly better.

When I received the boy I told the breeder that they were not what I was expecting, I did a gentle e-mail trying to put across both good and bad points the day after we had the boy. I also did not want to be too strong and sudden in my judgement. I got no answer from Vistoria and 6 days later I sent a stronger e-mail saying I really was not pleased with the cats and with the fact that she had not even bothered answering.

After chasing her through a friend of hers, she finally answered offering a replacement for the boy. I said ok, but wanted to see clear natural photos of him (she is a photoshop wizard!!!) on a regular basis so that I could see how he was developing during the 6 months needed for the pet passport that would allow him to come to the UK.

She came back a few days later saying that she was withdrawing the offer because she could not meet my demands (regular photos), so she has sold the kitten elsewhere and I should just keep the boy I had and that's it. She basically told me that a boy with proper blue eyes would be more expensive than what I paid and that the body on him is not long, he is just out of condition apparently.

Also she says that the bite was good before leaving. After she told us she was no longer replacing the cat we did go public with it and have been a bit strong with our comments regarding her and the cats, although in my eyes nothing but the truth. She came back to us saying that she wants a public apology before talking to us again. She also told us that we should show the boy under two judges when in condition (she would want photos from the show from us to prove that we are showing him right) and if two judges say he is pet quality she might think about doing something.

Obviously I am not going to show him (attached is a photo so you will see very clearly why I refuse to show him). She says we did not give her time to react, she does not seem to consider the fact that we had to send her two e-mails and had to chase her through a friend before she even bothered to answer, and also the fact that first she offered a replacement and 5 days later she told us that she was retracting her offer and we were just basically wrong in complaining about what she had sent us in the first place.

So all in all at the moment I am a bit fed up and I am loosing my trust in people. Beata of Vistoria cattery is doing her xmas shopping with money she has stolen from me, and this breeder in russia with the money she had from my friend. I don't want to wish anyone bad, but.... certainly I am not going to stop here with Beata. Might not get my money back, but will make sure the next few months her name and what she has done will be very publicized.
