Verizon Verizon billed me for internet I never got then slammed my credit Internet

I called Verizon about getting high speed DSL. I asked if it was available in my town(I live in a small town). They said "yes," took my info and said they would send me the equipment. A month went by and I never got it so I called them. They said "oh sorry it isn't available in your area, we don't have a hub there." They said they cancelled the request. A month later I get a bill for my high speed internet. I call them (please keep in mind that calling Verizon and getting a person takes well over an hour)I tell them my problem and am assured there has been a mistake and not to worry. Next month, same story, this goes on until September of 2010. I keep calling and they keep billing. Last week I find out they put a collection on my credit and now a credit agency called CBE group is calling me wanting payment. I have had perfect credit my whole life. I have owned BMW's, multiple morgages, paid off thousands upon thousands of dollars in various business and real estate deals and have a credit score that is almost perfect, and now I have a collection for $82.90 for a lousy internet service I never got. Today I talked to Verizon and a rep named Cindy said that she could see where I asked for the service and it was cancelled. I told her I would sue if pushed to it. She said hold for a minute, came back on after 30 minutes and said "oh ahhyahahh you bought a bundle and ahh we couldn't give you DSL but gave you ahhh phone service." I did not have a land line with them nor have there been any calls made on some number they say was mine. DSL works through the phone lines and has to have a number to reach your home. These people are con artists. Tonight I talked to another guy here in town that they hit his credit for internet that doesn't exist here. Look out for Verizon. Their CEO must need a new jet.
