My friend helped me out by ordering a Verizon bundle for me back in March of 2011. The advertised bundle included Direct TV Choice Xtra + DVR, High Speed Internet Enhanced and Verizon Freedom Essentials Telephone Service. This bundle was called the Triple Play and was advertised on-line for $74.99 a month for the first year. Verizon has now changed the ad on-line and tells us that they will not honor the contract that was made with us even though we have the confirmation that they sent us when we ordered it. Their reason is that the phone service and the satellite service each cost almost as much as the total advertised. They have offered to downgrade the internet service to dial up, and the phone service to Verizon Regional which will leave me with no long distance in order bring the price down to the advertised range but that is not what was contracted for. They have also offered to let us out of the 1 year contract that was signed with them but say they cannot do anything about the 2 year contract that was signed with DirectTV in the deal. This is absolutely ridiculous. There should be some way that they can be made to honor the contract that was made with us to begin with. |

Today, Saturday July 23, 2011, we moved into our new condo in Blue Bell, pA, after purchasing 3 new flat screen TV's, my Granddaughter who lives in the same complex, advised us to go with Verizon FIOS, she has it and the picture is fantastic.
I went online to check out Verizon, they show a double play, $74.99 monthly or triple play for 84.99 monthly, I opted for the double play ad clicked on availability, sure enough it is available, so I decided to proceed with the order now option, that's when the scam starts, the next screen says the page is unavailable, I tried many times to order this promotion only to be turned away. However there are two phone numbers to call, we decided to call, now any normal person would assume they are speaking to an Verizon agent or customer service person, after 10 or 15 minutes of speaking to this person, you realize it's just a third party sales agent working for a tele-a-marketing company who is most likely working on a percentage agreement and selling verizon products for what-ever the trafic will bear . Oh, yes the internet site is a scam, it is purposely set to NOT ALLOW any orders to be placed in hopes you'll see the phone numbers and call to get ripped off. |
