Firstly, shame on Verizon. I bought two iPhones from Apple Store with Verizon service but does not receive cell signal in my place or home and work. Within days reported to Apple for their return policy -30 days. I replaced with two AT&T i-phones at the Apple store. Right away receive collection letter from Verizon with $820 termination fee added which was contrary to contract on invoice with Apple Store. I disputed both by telephone in writing twice with Verizon. No response to letters. Twice Verizon representatives stated they did not recognize the Apple Store contract of 30day return policy which cont4ract also stated Verizon as carrier. Their policy was 15 days and they did not care about Apple’s agreement. Fast tract to Apple store. Apple agreed with me, were surprised with Verizon as they were not correct. They took my account information and said they would resolve this for me with Verizon. I followed up with Apple three times told them I as being barraged with harassment calls. Apple was always super professional and sympathetic but a little slow for r Valentine & Kebartas – Valentine & Kebartas –have phoned 70 times, ten times yesterday by machine,. I spoke to them several times they wanted the $1,130 that included $820 for early termination. The have broken several collection code laws- . Over 70 calls since December 19th, they use a local number 305-508 4765 but they actually call from Lawrence, MA. They use a machine and mostly the calls are harassment calls that don’t pick up on answer. I have a computer company printout on all their calls and on my own calls back to them. I have recorded some. They say that is not permitted- I don’t have their approval for recording. 2. I relayed that Verizon was in error. They did not care about that. I asked them three times not to phone me again-their response- they will phone as often as they like. 20 times as day if they want. 3. Yesterday I explained to them several ways they were not in compliance with the law. Not to call me was a right. They said they would continue to call. Even 20 times. A Mr. Morales misrepresented, claimed to be working for Verizon not a collection agency. 4. They attempted to claim $1,301, $820 more, although Verizon had acknowledged their error. 5. I did share with them the possibility that I was dealing with some fraudsters who happen to steal Verizon mail- that is still a possibility. 6. They stated I would only pay over the phone not by mail. I objected that payment could not be done by mail. 7. They were not interested in the fact that the charge was incorrect. They did not take note of it and clearly they were seeking payment to stop harassment. While the account amount has been mostly resolved I never made issue with the fact that i did not have a signal at home/office. However by far the most important matter is that Valentine and Kerbartas engaged in a campaign of harassment that continue through the holidays. That they did not care if there was an error in the account. That although Verizon had corrected for the termination fee they were still harassing for it. This I want to pursue. It is a legitimate complaint against Verizon. I want them to address it. I have never experienced a firm such as Valentine and Kerbartas-they have no shame harassing me for something I did not owe. As for Verizon they obviously have turned a blind eye. I will cooperate with any law enforcement agency that will take this outfit to task and extract justice. |
