Lying scammers, horrible work |

In October 2011, we hired USA Restore to repair storm damage to our home (roof and siding replacement). In mid November we released payment for 50% of the job to USA Restore and the repairs were to begin. On December 16 USA Restore sent a crew out to begin the roof, only for the crew to arrive but no roofing materials had been delivered. We were advised the job would begin on December 19th, this did not happen. The roof job finally began on December 21st and was completed December 26th. At the time the siding was removed from the house, along with our storm door and several windows. Siding was installed on the house but we were left without the soffits, facia, and window wraps. The subcontracting crew returned on January 3, 2012 and picked up debris and has not returned.
Aside from the sub-quality siding material that was used, the installation has clearly been done by someone who has never done this kind of work The cuts are gaped or short, trim is not level, and electrical and cable boxes have been left laying on the ground or hanging from the house. Additionally, the storm door has never been seen again and one window has blown over and shattered.
We've since received a visit from the subcontractor that did the work. He's indicated he won't return to complete the job, as he's not been paid by USA Restore for this job or others he has with them. We contacted USA Restore to advise of the issues that we've had, to this day they've not acknowledged these issues. They responded a week later to let us know that they are currently in the process of screening new subs and would have the work complete soon. We requested a copy of the building permit numerous times. We were told the owner had the permit with him and would bring it by before the work began. we finally demanded the permit and got a copy which was issued on 01/11/12, well after the siding was on the house. The permit was issued to a company other than USA Restore which we had never heard of.
This company could clearly care less about a quality job or customer service. Not to mention the average of 4-6 days it takes to hear back from anyone at the company, the emails from the owner Nyles Lehnen are down right rude and insulting. No consumer should ever be subject to such poor quality work and service. We only hope that we'll be able to help prevent others from falling into the situation we are in. |
